After being dragged shopping on a spending ban recently with my friend, I’ve seen lots of items I feel should make my spring wardrobe. River Island has a great selection at present, so without further ado, here are my Top 10 Wishlist items from River Island for Spring!
Ok, I admit it with these gorgeous bags. I’m classing them as 1 item (I can do that its my blog post!). Namely as, the square bag is more of a day time look and the clutch is more for evening. I love the block colouring on both and the contrast of white and yellow. It screams Spring for me and right now we need it to be Spring and warmer!!
I love, love, love this vest! Last year I bought 1 in cobalt blue and I lived in it from River Island. They wash up really well, last ages and are super soft. What I really love about this asymmetric cut out vest is the bright orange colour. It will look cool in Spring and perfect in Summer. I also think it would look amazing with my biker jacket!
I usually look for brighter colours in Spring, but as its still so cold outside (Did I hear right that we are meant to be having snow on and off up until Easter?!) something a little darker isn’t a bad thing. This super cute top will look gorgeous on a night out! I love that its Navy, so not the traditional black. A very good price too at £20.00!
I know, I know! I’m writing a Spring must haves post and I’m including a beanie?! But, its still so cold out! I really love this beanie too. The colour is gorgeous, a beautiful rich coral. I prefer my beanies to be warn lower down my head at the back and the slouch/turn up ones are perfect for that. I am actually going to nip into my River Island this weekend and try and buy this!
I really love these long pleated skirts right now! Let me let you into a secret through. I don’t really like the £40.00 price tag. Especially when there’s a few different colour options in Primark with a skirt that looks exactly the same for well over half less! You didn’t hear it from me though!
Ok, I may be getting older but I do still love cute dresses. This dress isn’t just cute, its sexy as hell too. I especially love the tie detail at the back. This dress is a really flattering cut and at £40.00 will be perfect for those of you flying off to warmer places on your Spring holidays.
Who doesn’t love a pair ofjeans? My issue is that I have wide hips, smaller waist and my slim jeans are then baggy on the ankles. Just because you aren’t a size 10 or smaller doesn’t mean you can’t wear a slim cut jean!! I live in mine and have found River Island ones come up really in well and never have baggy ankles on me! At £50.00 yes you may find them cheaper elsewhere, but if you struggle finding the right ones for you and don’t mind paying a little more, check out these ones from the Rihanna range!
I wanted to include an ankle boot in my wishlist as its still the right time of year for wearing them. What made this a must have wishlist item was the cut out design at the heel! You still have the edgy biker look, but the feminine cut out. Best of both worlds with these boots and they’ll look great with skirts, dresses, jeans or trousers!
I’m going to a wedding this July and am already looking around for outfits. Its a rather ‘posh’ affair so I want to be looking my best. These shoes are gorgeous! They will look perfect for the outfit ideas I’ve planned. They are also really quite comfortable too.
No Spring wishlist would be right without sunglasses! I am obsessed by them and always buy a few pairs each year. I really love these retro ones (Although am ashamed to say I had a pair almost identical in the 90’s!). At £13.00 they are a really good price and I’ve found all my River Island glasses have lasted really well too.
All items mentioned today in my Wishlist post can be found currently at River Island online (Some items may only be available at selected stores and online).
So, I know what you are thinking…. That’s 11 items right? Well, I told you with the bags I was classing that as 1 item. Still, 10, 11 or 100 all these things have made my Spring wishlist. Now, if only my spending ban was removed so I could go shopping!
Lots of Love,
