So many of you have been asking how I keep my hair looking so good recently, well Umberto Giannini Colour Luxe Billionaire Blonde has had a lot to do with it…
I’ve been reviewing these little lovelies a while now and wanted to share with you my thoughts on them, especially as I have never reviewed any Umberto Giannini products before on my blog. I always like to use shampoos and conditioners in conjunction with each other and use them over a period of time so I can give you a thorough review of how I found them.
Here is some information about the Umberto Giannini Colour Luxe Billionaire Blonde Brightening Shampoo…
Umberto Giannini Billionaire Blonde Brightening Shampoo is an anti yellowing formula for your best ever blonde.
Hair: All blondes natural or faux
Look: For the cleanest, brightest blonde with a no brassiness guarantee!
Technique: Apply to wet hair, lather through and rinse throughly
Stylists tip: For maximum effect on discoloured blondes, leave shampoo in hair for 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing
Any light blonde lovely will know that the art of keeping your beautiful blonde locks tarnish/brass free is by using a toning shampoo. Now there are loads of them market, but many can build up on your hair giving it that lilac tinge and leave it looking a lighter shade of ‘unnatural’. What I found with the Billionaire Blonde Brightening Shampoo was it didn’t tend to build up on the hair leaving it that nasty tone. In fact which each wash it was gentle enough to cleanse and clean my hair, but also tone it lightly to keep that horrible yellow at bay.
One thing that did surprise me was that this is more of a ‘indigo’ toner than a violet. Now, for those of you who know your colour wheel, indigo sits in-between blue and violet. This product does actually seem to work on pale orange/yellow unlike some other purple shampoos on the market.
It smells amazing! Its slightly sweet and reminds me more of a fragrance than of a shampoo, it also lingers lightly on your hair afterwards. This is one of the few brightening shampoos for blondes I have tried that also left my hair feeling super soft and nourished before I applied conditioner.
I really love how the Umberto Giannini Colour Luxe Billionaire Blonde Brightening Shampoo has improved my hairs tone and left it looking ‘salon worthy’ with a beautiful gloss too.
For us ‘unnatural blondes a good conditioner is a must, especially if you bleach to get you to your hair shade. The Billionaire Blonde Repairing Conditioner is perfect if you have dry hair than needs a little TLC.
As conditioners go, this one is extremely thick. In fact, I would liken it more to a hair mask than a standard conditioner. Its very luxurious both in appearance and when you apply it to the hair. I apply the Repairing conditioner after using the Brightening shampoo and leave it to sit a few minutes then rinse. I have also use it after colouring and tried it as I would a mask (But applying it to towel dried hair, popping a shower cap on and leaving it 10-20 minutes) and it works fantastic.
It also has the same yummy fragrance as the Brightening shampoo, so the 2 really work in harmony together, not just leaving your hair with a super soft and glossy, but with a gorgeous scent too.
Billionaire Blonde Repairing Conditioner is definitely a lovely product and 1 I would purchase again in a heart beat. It leaves my hair looking amazing and feeling super soft too.
Over all, I have really loved using these products. I don’t think I have used any Umberto Giannini haircare in a good few years and it was great to get to know a brand again. The shampoo is perfect for those who want a gentle toning shampoo they can use most washes and the conditioner is so thick and luxurious I felt it was more like a masque/mask! I can see me purchasing these again once these are empty as they have left my hair super soft, glossy and manageable – a must for those who want to maintain their blonde hair without the brassy tones.
