When it comes to tangles in my house, my girls need something industrial! The Wet Brush is the #1 brush in America and its easy to see why. Here are my thoughts on this brush and why you should have one in your life especially if you have children.

I have 3 daughters, all have long hair with textures from fine to thick and coarse. So, finding 1 brush that works for all of them can be tricky. The Wet Brush has saved a lot of tears in my house and made their hair care routines a doddle!

The Wet Brush

Here is some information on The Wet Brush…

The Wet Brush’s Intelliflex™ bristles are super thin, strong and flexible. These bristles will glide through any hair type combing out tangles effortlessly. The bristles’ flexibility enables protective and pain-free detangling while the SofTips™ on the very top of the bristles massage the scalp to stimulate circulation at the follicle. They are firm enough to comb through knots, yet flexible enough to be gentle on the scalp. Our IntelliFlex™ bristles bounce back to their original form after each stroke eliminating all the hair breakage and pain that used to be associated with brushing your hair. The Wet Brush can be used on wet or dry hair and works on extensions and wigs.

So I know what you’re thinking, what’s so special about The Wet Brush? Well, its in the design I guess. This brush is the most used in my house when it comes to de-tangling my daughters hair (I find on my own hair as I wear tape/skin weft extensions I can only use it on my ends as it catches on my tape and I can only use a natural bristle brush).

The Wet Brush

The brush can be used on wet or dry hair and my daughters use it on both. Firstly we use it when we have towel dried their hair after washing. The Wet Brush gets through the tangles even on my daughters super thick hair (Although we do have to section hers first) fast. On my daughter B’s hair which is fine it doesn’t snag and rip her hair out like some brushes. Which means we have less breakage and less tears. But as I said, we also use this on dry hair too.

My youngest daughter B has really fine hair, but its also super long and wavy too. Its that kind of hair that ‘looks’ at the wind and tangles instantly! The Wet Brush gets the tangles out in the mornings too, its great for putting her hair up and again we have no tears! So, any brush that makes my children happier in my books is amazing!

The Wet Brush

Over all, I can’t fault this brush at all. It has a nice handle which isn’t too big so great for children and adults to use. The bristles are flexible, so they don’t drag and snag through the hair, but gently remove the tangles (So no pain!) and its not heavy which means no arm ache while brushing longer hair! I really think this brush is brilliant and prefer it over my Tangle Teezer and Dessata as its easier to use because of the handle and doesn’t fly out of your hair like those ones can. Also the cushioned bristles means it gives the scalp a good massage too and the ends aren’t sharp either! Win win in my opinion and a must have for your hair arsenal.

The Wet Brush is available from Sally’s and costs £8.99. It is available in other colours, but mines the cool metallic purple one!
