Having tried eyeCandy nail polishes before, I already knew this collection with Tanya Burr was going to be great. eyeCandy polishes have beautiful finishes and last well on the nails too (To see my previous posts on eyeCandy London products, click here). The 4 shades I am sharing with you today are all beautiful pastels, but trust me when I say there are also some other amazing shades in the collection and as soon as I have these swatches I will be sure to post the pictures of those too.
Little duck is a beautiful pastel mint green. The colour looks gorgeous with anything and is a touch different on the nails. Out of all the pastel shades I have swatched here from Tanya Burr’s collection, this was the one I got the most comments on. 2 coats and its opaque, it has a gorgeous gloss finish and lasts on the nails about 3 days before chipping (Without a top coat).
Mini Marshmallows was the shade I was most excited about and in honesty the one I was a little disappointed by, but only because it takes so many coats to get it opaque. It has 3 coats in the image above and even there you can see on close inspection it needs another one, with this in mind you really need to leave a good 3-5 minutes between coats and layer this one. Its a gorgeous baby pink pastel with a high gloss finish which looks elegant. This one would probably be suitable for those girls who like nail varnish but aren’t meant to wear it at school, a couple of coats would probably go un-noticed by teachers (But you didn’t hear that here!!).
I adore peach nails varnishes and the aptly named Peached & Cream is a perfect pastel peach. This glossy peach looks amazing with nail art (Especially if you use Penguin Chic below) and definitely has a 90’s vibe to it in my opinion (Only because I remember wearing this type of shade in the 90’s!). 2 coats to an opaque finish it lasts well on the nails and looks elegant and pretty.
I don’t know if I would class Penguin Chic as a pastel, but it certainly is a gorgeous nude taupe. It looks lovely on the nails, is opaque in 2 coats and the glossy finish makes it look really professional. I like using this colour for nail art and also on my nails when I have a tan. Its understated and classic.
Over all I love the shades in the Tanya Burr collection with eyeCandy. I haven’t tried her lip glosses (I’m not a huge lip gloss fan I’m afraid) but can say the nail polishes are definitely worth checking out and being part of the eyeCandy range means they are affordable too.
Lots of Love,
