Being the complete and utter mascara junkie I am, when I saw the SEVENTEEN Falsifeye HD Mascara on offer at Boots I had to buy it and give it a whirl. Here are my thoughts on this new mascara and whether it beats my old favourite of there’s, ‘Peep Show‘.
Here is some information on the SEVENTEEN Falsifeye HD Mascara…
94% of users saw more definition*
93% of users saw separated lashes*
92% of users saw long lasting results*
76% of users said this mascara DOUBLED the volume of their lashes Vs bare lashes
*results observed in a consumer panel survey using 2 coats
After applying 2 coats this mascara:
- Does not clump
- Is long lasting, Smudge proof & does not flake
- Adds volume & length from corner to corner
- Lifts & curls lashes from corner to corner
- Adds thickness to lashes
Now when it comes to reviewing products, I’m probably the hardest blogger to please when it comes to a mascara. I literally don’t hold back with them, if I hate it I say. The more claims a mascara has the more I will check each of them when used on me and see if it lives up to them. So, how do I feel about the new SEVENTEEN Falsifeye HD Mascara… Ok, I absolutely love it!
Firstly let’s look at the brush. When I initially saw it I thought it would be crap. The brush doesn’t look anything special at all and I thought it would make my lashes clumpy and if I was lucky I wouldn’t end up with the 3 lash look! Boy was I wrong! It really did a good job of coating my lashes and keeping them separated and full looking. I could easily achieve some length, volume and curl and that was just with 1 coat. But as the ‘claims’ were with 2 coats I of course did 2 and in honesty that’s what I usually apply coat wise with all mascaras.
The formula is in Blackest Black that I bought, it is also available in black/brown although I don’t own that one. The Blackest Black is quite black, not a grey tinged shade and really did make my lashes look darker (I tint my lashes black I should point out). It isn’t a strong scented mascara either and I could hardly detect any fragrance too it.
On application the brush glides through your lashes and I’ll admit 1 coat didn’t really do it for me. It did give me nice long lashes but they really looked more like ‘My lashes but better’, so if you like a more natural look then 1 coat may be all you need. You will see from my images that I have shown what it looks like with up to 2 coats and this was WITHOUT curling my lashes, so you get a real idea of what it can do.
Lasting power is something this mascara definitely has. I have always found that most SEVENTEEN mascaras last well on the eye and I can get a good 8 hours without smudges etc. This was the same for this mascara and considering I’m testing it when its super hot outside I thought that was quite impressive. Not being waterproof meant it was easily removed and I found by using my cleanser it removed most of the mascara leaving only a little which I wiped away with eye makeup remover.
So, over all you can see I did love the SEVENTEEN Falsifeye HD Mascara and in fact think it does beat the Peep Show mascara I have always raved about (See the review here). What’s even better is at present Boots have it at an introductory price of £4.99 (It will be £6.99 after the offer) and its included in their buy 1 get 2nd half price too! So, now is the time to try it if you want too! Its well worth the outlay and the results I got at 2 coats were very similar of those of the Benefit They’re Real! without the issues of removing it after!!
Lots of Love,
