Review/NOTD: Barry M Gelly Nail Varnish in Blackberry (gnp2)

For those who didn’t see my recent Haul post (Post Here), I have added another to my Barry M Jelly Nail Varnishes and now also own Blackberry (gnp 2) as well as Pomegranate (Swatches and Review Here).

Blackberry is a gorgeous deep blue shade, it reminds me of a deep sea blue colour and is a perfect shade for winter. I’ve actually found I’m really attracted to blues this Autumn and this shade is perfect.

One difference I found with Blackberry that was different to Pomegranate was that it did need 2 coats. I found 1 coat left near the nail bed a little patchy and unless you applied it too thickly 2 coats was a must.

As with Pomegranate the finish is a high gloss, much like you have applied a UV Top Coat or had a Shellac/Gellac manicure. I really love high gloss nails, I think they look more polished, smarter and definitely more sculptured (They can hide a multitude of sins too, especially if you have heavy ridges!).

If you do not like a High gloss finish I would avoid the Gelly Nails collection from Barry M. If you love this kind of finish I can’t recommend them enough. I really am a massive fan of Barry M nail varnishes and the Gelly’s are my big love at present. They are great value, I find they last really well and for £3.99 look fabulous!

What’s even better, Boots is still running its 3 for 2 across cosmetics at present, so why not pick one up as part of the offer? That’s what I did – twice.

For more information on Barry M cosmetics, why not check out their Website, Facebook or Twitter?

Check back for more Gelly Nail polish posts, I’ll soon be reviewing Plum (gnp1).

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
