Following on from my recent spotlight on the Mark Hill MiracOILicious range (Post here), I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the range and how I’ve found my hair since using it…
The 3 products I am reviewing for you from the range today are the Mark Hill Mark Hill MiracOILicious Nourishing Shampoo, Nourishing Conditioner and Moroccan Argan Oil. Although my Spotlight included information on the products, here is a small amount of information, in case you haven’t read that post..
This is a brand new supercharged ‘repair’ range for over-styled, heat damaged hair – that works! MiracOILicious is an exotic mix of 14 of the world’s finest essential oils and plant extracts, including Moroccan Argan Oil, Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Sage, Sandlewood, Spearmint, Castor, Palmarosa, Orange, Patchouli, Clove, Davana, and White Birch. It is designed specifically to repair and hydrate heat-damaged or coloured hair.
The MiracOILicious Nourishing shampoo and conditioner and 2 products I cannot recommend enough if you have dry, over-processed, coloured hair. If you hair is lacking moisture and really needs an intensive conditioning system, these products could definitely be for you. In fact, I wish I had of known about these products while I was bleaching my hair and it was a little dry.
Firstly, they smell absolutely amazing! The fragrance is slightly, sweet and reminds me of a sweet shop. This fragrance also lingers on your hair. So much so, my other half said he liked my perfume in bed one evening (?!). I then asked him if it could possibly be my hair as I had none on, turns out it was just that. This fragrance may be too much for some, if you do not like fragranced products you may want to steer clear, however if you have dry hair, then please read on.
The Nourishing shampoo is fairly thick and you can produce a good lather with it. My hair felt clean after 1 wash, but I always wash my hair twice. My hair felt soft and silky, even before the conditioner was applied, but in order to make those hair follicles lay flat, conditioner is a must. I believe using products from the same brand and line can really benefit your hair as they work in conjunction with each other. That in mind I have always been following up with the Nourishing conditioner in the range too.
The Nourishing conditioner feels like most conditioners, its not too thick and is easily worked through the hair. I recommend concentrating this conditioner on the mid lengths and ends if that is the only place where there is dryness. With my hair my roots aren’t dry, when I applied this to my roots I found my hair was a little too conditioned, greasy almost. So, I recommend using it only where you need it. This conditioner can be left on for a few minutes (I usually left it on about 2 minutes) and then rinsed. However, if you want to leave it on longer by all means do so – it really works well.
Both the Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner are really good products and I highly recommend them for those of you with dry hair. They smell amazing, leave your hair really soft and my hair was definitely more glossy and healthier.
The Mark Hill MiracOILicious Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner are £6.49 each for 250ml per product.
The other product I have been testing is the Mark Hill MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil. I have tried many argan oil type products now since the craze started a few years back. I don’t think I really need to talk about the benefits of them now, most people know what they do. This addition to the MiracOILicious range is a definite must for those who suffer with dry hair.
Firstly, don’t be put off by the small size of this product. When it says to only use a small amount I cannot stress this enough. In fact, I recommend using just 1 pump, if you need more, add more. Remember, you can always add more, taking it away isn’t so easy. The MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil is a highly concentrated little gem for your hair.
Firstly, it smells amazing. Just like the Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner and compliments the fragrance those product add to your hair. You apply it to your hair when it is damp and freshly washed and towel dried.
The product feels like many oils on your fingers, its almost slippery and very silky. Its not a thick oil at all and 1 pump is easily distributed between your hairs. I would then put this product only were its needed on my own hair, concentrating on my ends, then midlengths. I avoided my roots as they aren’t dry at all and the product would only make them too oily.
My hair felt silky as soon as I had applied the product, but once dried also looked incredibly glossy and healthy. It also helped make the ends feel less ‘tatty’, which (Dare I say) need trimming at present.
The Moroccan Argan Oil is a great product for dry hair, although my hair is no longer bleached I feel this product would be really good for those with bleached hair which is dry/over-processed. I also feel it would be really good for those who have very curly hair which is dry, or ladies who’s hair is going grey and becoming coarse.
MiracOILicious Moroccan Argan Oil costs £9.99 for 50ml of product, which I feel will last quite a reasonable amount of time if you only use it where it is needed.
Overall, I have been really impressed with the Mark Hill MiracOILicious products I have tried. They really have nourished my hair and left it looking soft and glossy. My hair also feels in much better condition since using these products and smells amazing!
Lots of Love,
