Review: Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.15 Eau De Parfum

With the change in seasons and the cooler weather, it also means a change in fragrance for me. In the colder months I reach for more deeper tones and less floral scents. Thats why I was extremely excited when Liz Earle sent me their new Botanical Essence No.15 Eau De Parfum to share my thoughts with you on…

Here is a little information straight from Liz Earle about their new fragrance…

Our second fine fragrance is inspired by a myriad of scents and aromas from around the globe. Fifteen precious botanicals have been carefully selected and handcrafted by one of the world’s leading female perfumers.

Botanical Essence No.15 is a fresh spicy oriental scent. This clean, sexy and addictive eau de parfum is synonymous with feeling seductive and elegant.

Over 90% directly derived from natural ingredients.

Spritz liberally, whenever you desire.

Over 90% of Botanical Essence No.15 is derived from sustainably sourced natural ingredients and uses not only the most precious botanicals but also the best part of each delicate ingredient.

Can I first of all applaud Liz Earle on their most beautiful packaging to date! This simplistic packaging is both eye catching and elegant. I love how the box unfolds giving you all the information on the product, its the small details I love. On the outer packaging we have beautiful images of the 15 notes that make up the fragrance; Bergamot, Virginian Cedarwood, Patchouli, Guiacwood, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Cypriol, Siam Benzoin, Damask Rose, Elemi, Cinnamon Leaf, Clove Bud, Pink Pepper, Bourbon Vanilla and Vetiver (For those wondering where image 15 is, its on the bottom).

I also loved the bottle design, the clean cut lines and simple shape gives the bottle a class of its own. It stands out from other perfumes and reminds me of a vintage bottle of fragrance or spices from years gone by.

I knew when I first saw the bottle that this was going to be something special, I wasn’t wrong. This fragrance is a heavy oriental scent, it is perfect for the Autumn and Winter months. The spicy undertones and warmth from the oriental notes reminds me of more of a classic fragrance and although I can’t put my fingers on which scent I’d liken it too, I can’t help but think of Dior or Chanel.

The fragrance lasts very well and one spritz lasted me throughout the day, its also a fragrance I got many compliments on so I feel will be very popular.

Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.15 Eau De Parfum is available directly from Liz Earle at £45.00 for 50ml of product. It can also be purchased at selected John Lewis stores and online.
