Review: Glotanz Tan in a Can

I have used many tanning products over the years and consider myself an experienced tanner. I like having a tan as it makes me feel healthier (Strange but true), I look slimmer (Again, probably psychological) and I hate looking pasty.

Glotanz Tan in a Can

Today I would like to share a product with you by a company I hadn’t heard of before, Glotanz. Here are my thoughts and findings on their product, Tan in a Can…

Tan in a Can

We would like to introduce you to our new product, the Tan in a Can.

The Tan in a Can is a super fine self-tan spray, which allows for easy application due to the 360 action spray nozzle. The Tan in a Can delivers a flawless, ultra-smooth all-over tan, which is infused with powerful healing ingredients such as Vitamin E and A.

Firstly, don’t be put off by the name. It does exactly what it says on the can! The product is currently under going new packaging, so the images I am using are for the product I have. But the new design looks like this (So, don’t worry its the same product).

The product boasts one claim which I was extremely intrigued about, being fragrance free. I can vouch for this, it doesn’t smell of anything. Nor did I notice when I showered after that ‘fake tan’/’biscuit’ like smell. This was a major plus point in my books.

As for application, this is not the easiest tan to use on your own. If you have a friend who can help I’d advise it. But, its more about practice and forgetting your ‘old habits’ than it being hard. I would liken this spray tan to an ‘airbrush’ tan (For those that have had one). The spray is tinted and gives you an instant nice colour. This develops over hours and leaves you a gorgeous brown colour once you rinse.

In honesty, the first time I used this tan I had a patchy result when it faded. I was really disappointed. But, then I found out that the tan didn’t like my oil free moisturiser I usually use under my tans on the dryer areas. So, the following time I did it I used a different moisturiser and did a full body tan – including the feet/ankles which in my opinion are the hardest areas too tan. The result was amazing! I looked good, the tan lasted and I didn’t have any orange peel/bad fade areas at all. I used the same method for my third application and again the results were spot on.

Colour wise this is NOT AN ORANGE TAN!!! You won’t look like a dodgy ‘Geordie Shore’/’TOWIE’ reject. In fact, my tan looked natural like it was Summer. I have an olive toned skin naturally which can look a little green when I’m ‘natural’ and ‘pale’. You can also build this tan up over a few days too and go darker.

I found the tan lasted about 5 days before it started to fade, in that time I have exfoliated twice. It faded naturally without horrible effect.

I would use this tan again without a doubt, but had to get Mark to do my back/shoulders each time as this was something I really struggled with. I also used a ‘buffing glove’ (Like a thick sock) once I’ve sprayed to remove any excess, it dries really quickly but can feel a bit wet at first. The only strange thing about this tan which you have to get used too is this…

DO NOT SHAKE IT!!! Trust me you will instinctively go to do this but it does state on the can not too.

In my books, this would be a perfect ‘Girls Night In’ product as you could help your friends out and all end up with great looking tans in the process!

Tan In a Can costs £21.99 for 250ml. There’s quite a lot of product there and I would imagine it would last a fair few applications. You can purchase it online here.
