I’ll admit it, out of all the subscriptions I have Glossy Box is generally the one I look forward too the most! I always feel their boxes are more catered to my tastes than any of the other subscription boxes. So once my monthly subscription goes out the excitement always starts to build.
(If you’d like to read my reviews on the previous boxes I’ve received Click here August and September)
Without back tracking too much, Glossy Box are a monthly subscription service which has no minimum contract and can be cancelled anytime. It costs £12.95 (£10 for the subscription and £2.95 for postage and packing) and is delivered straight to your door via your postman. Each box contains 5 Luxury product miniatures of well known brands for your to try. The cost of the miniatures usually far our weighs the cost of the actual box – so there’s value for money if you love the products you are receiving. However half the fun is you NEVER know what you are going to get!
Glossy Box really take their packaging seriously I feel, it always looks professional from the box it is delivered in to the gorgeous pink box inside with the simple Glossy Box logo on top of it. I love my pink Glossy Boxes, I use them to store products in and they stack really neatly so nothing goes to waste!
Inside the box as always we have the card detailing us about what products are in the October box, prices of the products and also information on the 6th Glossy Box. It’s hard to believe they have been going 6 months now. I wish I had of been able to get hold of the earlier boxes but I subscribed late and due to heavy demand only got my first box in August.
Most of you know what I Glossy Box looks like now, so I best get to the part you really want to see. What’s in my October Glossy Box Subscription!

Can I say wow! I love Dermalogica products but will be honest and say I can rarely afford them! Most people who are in the beauty business of any kind will know how amazing Dermalogica products are, these people know skin and how too take care of it! I am really looking forward to trying these products. The Dermalogica Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex and beauty bag were extras in the October Glossy Box for being the 6th box they have produced and a thank you for subscribing! The bag is a good size and can easily be used as a makeup bag for your hand bag, it looks nice and sturdy. I am really pleased with these products!
Leighton Denny Expert Nails Colour and Care (in Sex Kitten) – Beautifully groomed hands and feet are always in fashion and with Leighton Denny Nail Colours, it’s easy to keep them that way. Full Sized Product is £11.00 and 12ml, the product in the box is not a sample and a full sized product!
I love Leighton Denny polishes, I own about 4 now and think they are amazing quality and worth the money. The Sex Kitten polish is a beautiful colour, I would have swatched this on my fingers but only put on a set of white tips Saturday so you will have to put up with a shocking picture of my feet demonstrating this gorgeous colour!
Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner (In Moray) – Stila’s highly pigmented, waterproof eyeliner glides on delivering intense, vibrant colour with staying power – Full Sized Product £13.00, the sample is a full sized product!
I have several Stila products and really love them. The swatch of this liner is quite gorgeous and doesn’t do it justice It’s a bronze/green/brown colour and will be great as a liner but also smudged on the lid for a deep smokey winter eye. I can’t wait to use this!
Robert Piguet Eau De Parfums – Fracas de Robert Piguet, Visa De Robert Piguet and Calypso de Robert Piguet are three signature scents from the ‘most Parisian of fashion designers.’ Full Sized Product is £65.00 for 50ml. The Sample sizes are 8ml of each fragrance).
I always feel fragrances of any kind in one of these subscription boxes is quite hard – most people have different tastes and what one person loves another may loathe.
Fracas is a mature scent, the kind my Mum or Nan would wear. It’s not unpleasant and quite sublime but not one I would wear as I feel its too mature for me.
Visa is quite ‘heady’ with a floral and fruit scent. It is a pretty smell but not one I would wear personally as I feel it would give me a headache.
Calypso is lovely! Really fruity and fresh! Its not something I would outwardly purchase but I would wear if given. The scent really does remind me of holidays and beaches!
Overall I really pleased with my October GlossyBox. I feel they have stayed consistent (Bar the Batiste incident but I was not subscribed to that box) with a good range of high quality products and the sample sizes have been great. I am really pleased with my Leighton Denny Polish and love the Stila liner. I am hoping my skin doesn’t react to the Dermalogica products but if it does, I know someone who will be grabbing them off of me!
With my 2 favourite products alone this boxes subscription could have almost been doubled – so a mass saving again! I will be continuing my Glossy Box subscription again and can’t wait to see what will be in my next box!
