Review: Dr.Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream

As time goes on for any woman, I think we start to look at our skin and know we need to try and stop the signs of ageing. I am lucky in that most of the women on my mothers side do not look their age and I am still told I don’t either. However, I am noticing signs and am always looking for products that can put a stop to the ‘hourglass’ of life so to speak and keep my face looking as youthful as possible.

I was recently asked if I would like to try a couple of products from Dr Hauschka’s range and was fairly excited to do so. Today, I would like to share my findings with you on the first product I tried, the Regenerating Day Cream…

Dr.Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream

Here’s a little information about the Regenerating Day Cream…

For those concerned about ageing, the Dr.Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream refines, smoothes and strengthens demanding, mature skin. The luxuriously creamy formula enhances the skin’s tone, helping to smooth wrinkles and fine lines, leaving the skin feeling soft, supple and radiant. It also helps to soothe reddened, sensitive skin.

  • Supports the tautening and regenerating powers of the skin, resulting in a radiant, soft and cared for appearance.
  • Contains nutritious plant oils to noticeably reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
  • Plant oils, including Raspberry seed oil, Avocado oil and Shea butter help to reduce wrinkles and fine lines as well as refining and smoothing the complexion.
  • Bryophyllum, isoflavone rich Red Clover, silica containing Horsetail, vitamin rich Acerola fruit and harmonising Rose support the skin, helping to tauten and regenerate, bringing your skin back to a natural, balanced state.

This was my first time trying a product from the Dr Hauschka range, so I was pretty excited. I’d heard very good things about the range of products and as my skin is so sensitive I was curious as to whether I would be ok with the product as I’ve had reactions to products before which are designed for sensitive skin.

Dr.Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream

What I liked?

The cream glides on the skin really well and is absorbed instantly. It made my face feel extremely soft and even the dryer areas felt moisturised. Some creams can be a little heavy and I found this one to be light in texture but still gave a really good coverage. I also found you didn’t need to apply too much. So, although the tube is 40ml which I always feel is a fairly small size, its quite good at lasting a good time too. Although this is a day cream, I also found I could use it at night and still get the benefits. The biggest thing I was looking for with this cream when reviewing it was the anti-aging benefits. I am now 37 and do have fine lines around my eyes, I also have some on my forehead too. Unless you are close up these aren’t massively noticeable, I still know they are there and am conscious of them though and like to minimise them if at all possible. I did find the cream helped to minimise them, especially the ones on my forehead. This was something I was extremely impressed with as I found it was almost an ‘instant’ fix when it came to hiding them. I also feel over time the cream would really help to remove them more.

What I didn’t like?

There’s one thing about the Regenerating Day Cream which I wasn’t so keen on, this was the fragrance. It is rather overpowering when you apply it. I would liken it to liquorice which although I am partial to Bertie Basset sweets, its not a fragrance I would normally add to my face. However, once the cream was applied I found the fragrance did lessen and I could no longer smell it. The only other thing with this cream I would complain about is the price, it is rather expensive and with that in mind it will be out of some budgets for some people. But with this product you are paying for quality I feel so it is worth it.

Dr.Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream

Overall I was really impressed with Dr.Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream, it did do exactly what it said it would for me and has made a definite improvement on my skin and its condition. Being someone who does suffer with eczema I had no reactions to the product at all, nor did I ‘breakout’ which can sometimes happen when changing my face cream.

Dr.Hauschka Regenerating Day Cream costs £53.95 for 40ml of product, although it does have a large price tag I would definitely consider saving to replace it once it has ran out. You can see the whole Dr.Hauschka range on their website and purchase the Regenerating Day Cream there too.

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
