Following on from my Spotlight post on the new Paul & Joe Beaute Summer 2013 Collection (See the Post Here), today I would like to share with you a few of the beautiful things I featured, swatches and what I think of them…..
The 3 things I have to share with you today from Paul & Joe Beaute Summer 2013 Collection are;
Paul & Joe NEW Limited Edition Fragrance Hair & Body Mist
Paul & Joe Nail Enamel in Rio (035)
Paul & Joe Eye & Lip Gloss Duo in Monaco (03)
Every now and again a product that is a little bit special comes into your life, for me its the Paul & Joe NEW Limited Edition Fragrance Hair & Body Mist. Here is a little information about the product…
Fresh, fruity and floral, oh my! The new Limited Edition Fragrance Hair & Body Mist RRP £24 from Paul & Joe Beauté is the must-have moisturising fragrance duo of the season, perfect for the body, hair, everywhere!
Fragrance meets hydration with this sensually scented mist that features lush herbal top notes of lavender, bergamot and citrus; marine and floral middle notes of jasmine, neroli and rose; and earthy bottom notes of amber and musk. Envelop your hair and body in this invigorating mist, which is sure to refresh your mood no matter how high the temperature soars!

The great thing about the Fragrance Hair & Body Mist is that its a delightful scent which works well on your body and your hair. Too often I will apply a fragrance to my neck, which will then intermingle with my hair products scent and leave me smelling… Kind of strange. This product eliminates that problem from the get go.
Its light enough to be worn as your main scent, is lovely as a body spray, smells heavenly on your hair and works well to refresh your clothes a little (Especially if you are going straight out from work and can’t change!). Fragrance Hair & Body Mist is like a ‘refresher’ for your hair, body and clothes.
The fragrance its self is beautiful – nice and light, its floral tones work well for the Spring and Summer. Not heady and over powering like many Winter fragrances. I am hooked!
Paul & Joe Limited Edition Hair & Body Mist is £24 and is available from 1st May from Harrods, Knightsbridge, Fenwick, New Bond Street Selfridges and from Asos.com and from 1st June at beautybay.com.
Everyone knows how I love nail enamel, I am some what of an addict and openly admit this. This is my first Paul & Joe nail polish and after trying a few products last year from the MEOW! collection (Review and Post here) my expectations were high.
The colour I was sent from the Summer 2013 collection was Rio (Shade number 035). Described as a ‘rich, rusty orange that is retro-radiant ‘ I would have to agree with the statement. The colour screams, ‘LOOK AT ME!’ and is rather bright yet gorgeous too. For those who love their reds in Winter and struggle cutting the apron ties with them, this colour be a great alternative. I would describe this as a bright orange toned red. Its very Summery, will look amazing with a tan and great on both long or short nails.
The Rio shade is a gloss finish polish with a high shine. I found I needed 2 coats to get good coverage, but the lasting power was what surprised me. This polish lasted on my nails 3 days without a chip or mark. It was only on day 4 when I was using a scouring pad that I got some chips. I always test nail varnishes first without a top coat and then with. With a top coat I got 5 days wear, but admit I usually change my nail polish at the latest around this point – so that was good with me. I am really impressed with the formula of the Paul & Joe nail enamel and definitely would buy more shades in the range.
The Paul & Joe Nail Enamels cost £12 and the Summer 2013 collection is available in 5 shades.
Probably the most unique product I have tried from Paul & Joe, the Eye & Lip Gloss Duo is a multi purpose product and really quite good.
The colour I was sent is Monaco, described as ‘sandy beige notes add a natural glow‘ in my opinion its probably the best one in the whole collection of Eye & Lip Gloss Duos. The product is really rather clever, both ends unscrew giving your 2 different sponge applicators; 1 that sits in the lipgloss side, the other in the eye gloss side.
Unlike many girls although I do wear lip gloss I’m not the biggest fan. I find most are a little too sticky, or tacky (I mean with the feeling on the lips, not that they are tacky to wear – I hope that makes sense!) and can make your lips feel slimy rather than moisturised. However, I was really impressed with the lip gloss that comes with Monaco.
Although it was still quite a wet formula, it glided on nicely on the lips and looked good. It was a pale nude colour, ‘Your lips with a hint of shine’ which I liked as I’m a huge fan of nude lips. I did find that the product didn’t last ages, but I find that with all lip glosses if I’m honest. I tend to apply a lot.
Now, the eye gloss really is something else! I was most impressed with this product. Firstly, its a beautiful golden taupe brown shade which looks beautiful on the lid and crease. It also works really well on the lower lash line too. It feels sticky and wet when you apply it, but dries fairly quickly. Not the easiest of products to blend as you have to work fast, but the results after are really good. This product is without a doubt a massive favourite, so much so that when the collection is released I am Santa Monica (01).
It lasts really well on the eyes, I didn’t find there was creasing and if the colours not your cup of tea, they work really well applied as a primer to your lids. I recommend blending these with your fingers rather than brushes as they can be a little mucky otherwise.
The Paul & Joe Eye & Lip Gloss Duos cost £28 and are available in 5 shades in the Summer 2013 collection.
The Paul & Joe Beaute Summer 2013 Collection is £24 and is available from 1st May from Harrods, Knightsbridge, Fenwick, New Bond Street Selfridges and from Asos.com and from 1st June at beautybay.com.
So there you have it, my 3 reviews for 3 really great products. I am really impressed with the Summer 2013 collection from Paul & Joe, although admit Meow! still amazes me. I can’t help it, I am and always will be obsessed with cats!
Lots of Love,
