Queen Cosmetics Sensiderma Moisture Soothe

I’m back today with a product I’ve been recently testing and think for some would be a great addition to their skin care regime. For those of you who haven’t heard of Queen Cosmetics before you really should check them out, they are a company thats been around for 85 years and in my opinion really are one of those hidden gems of the skin care industry. I recently reviewed a couple of eye products (Queen Cosmetics Eyelash Cream and Eye Makeup Remover Review here) and was asked if I would like too try some of their Sensiderma Moisture Soothe cream, so here are my thoughts about the product…

Here is a little information firstly about Queen Cosmetics Sensiderma Moisture Soothe Cream…. *source*

This cream was specially developed for an individual client four years ago. Her very dry, very sensitive skin did not respond to rich creams and she asked if we could help find something which could provide the moisturisation (without irritation) that her skin so desperately needed. After trialling a number of different formulations, Miss K’s cream was born!

We have been trialling this cream among our regular clientele over the course of the last year and it has received an excellent response, becoming the standard daily moisturiser of many of our customers. Now called Sensiderma Moisture Soothe (it has been called KT or Special Formulation Cream for the past year), we are pleased to add it to our product range as a permanent fixture.

The cream has a light, almost gel-like texture and has variously been described as ‘so soothing’, ‘really cooling and calming’ and ‘non-greasy but has relieved my skin’s dryness and tightness’. It is very easily absorbed and, as such, particularly suits dry skins which find that rich creams just sit on the surface of their skin. *source*

Queen Cosmetics packaging for me is what it is; functional. They save all the best bits for what’s inside the packaging. Each product I have tried so far comes in a hard plastic tub like pot with a screw top lid – both very secure.

Queen Cosmetics Sensiderma Moisture Soothe cream is very light in texture and appearance

Queen Cosmetics Sensiderma Moisture Soothe blended into my hand – you can see my skin is smoother, less dry and looks healthier too!

The cream isn’t what you’d expect and isn’t thick at all, in fact its almost like a ‘body lotion’ texture; fairly light and creamy. However, from the small amount you can see I applied too my hand that was more than enough to cover my whole hand when blended in. Afterwards, my skin felt soft, smooth and hydrated (Trust me when I say I have VERY dry hands and for them to feel velvet soft is extremely impressive!). You are not left with that ‘greasy’ feel either that you get with some intensive creams which is another reason I really love this product. When  hear the expression, ‘Skin like a baby’ or the term, ‘Baby Soft’ that is how my skin feels after using Sensiderma Moisture Soothe.

This cream is not for people with oily or normal skin; in fact I’d go as far to say unless you have dry patches or dry skin this cream isn’t for you. It is extremely hydrating and soothing on the skin and really relieves that ‘tight’ feeling skin sometimes gets. I also found when I’ve had reactions too products and my skin is sore that the Sensiderma Moisture Soothe really helped easily my skin back to normal. Being someone who has eczema and psoriasis I can say that I have had no reaction too this product what so ever, if anything it has improved the condition of my skin.

If there was a body cream that was made like the Sensiderma Moisture Soothe cream I would definitely invest in it. I’ve taken too applying a small amount of this cream too other areas on my body (Knees, elbows, chest and hands) where I have very dry sore skin and found it really has helped.

This product does not have a scent that I can smell at all, another reason why my skin probably had no reactions too it.

Queen Cosmetics have created an amazing product with the Sensiderma Moisture Soothe. Where cost is concerned many may feel the £15.25 for 50ml is a little pricey, however if you look at the image showing the cream in the pot you will see just how little I have used these past 2 weeks I have been trying it. I believe this pot will last a very long time so is definitely value for month! There is also a trial/sample size available of this product at Queens Cosmetics which costs £3.75 if you are unsure if this product would be suitable for you and wanted to try before you buy.
