I think we’ve all heard of the monthly subscription services, but what really drew me into Pink Parcel was how unique it actually is. What could be better than a subscription box that comes when you really want/need it?
So what is Pink Parcel you ask? “Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle. We send you what you need, right when you need it. Plus some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month.” *source*
Unique right? When I saw what Pink Parcel actually was I couldn’t get over just how different it really is compared to over subscription services. I also thought it was brilliant that they also did a Teen Box too, great for young girls just starting their periods, especially when it can be a dismal affair when you first get your period.
So, I’m guessing you’d like to see what comes in the box right? So, let me show you what I got in mine (Which I would like to stress, I paid for myself and this was not sent to me). Firstly when it comes, the packaging it a plain plastic white sleeve, so nice and discreet and the postie isn’t going to know what’s in there.
Inside the white sleeve with have the charcoal grey and pink designed box. Similar in size to a box of chocolates. The box is nicely presented and looks good.
Inside I had 3 boxes and a drawstring bag. Each is labelled so you know what its for and when. These boxes are designed to be used before and during your period. So, you don’t just have your choice of sanitary product but also treats to make you feel better about having your period, a bit of pampering never hurt anyone. There’s also something to help with those monthly cravings too!
In the ‘For You’ box we had all the things to cheer you up before and during your period. This was probably my favourite part of the parcel, as who doesn’t love a few pick me up things, especially when you had that time of the month. In my ‘For You’ box I had;
- Teapigs Chocolate Flake Tea (1 serving)
- Doisy & Dam Goji & Orange Dark Chocolate40g
- Gluco Tabs in Raspberry 40g
- Eldora False Lashes in D172
- Eldora False Lashes in H159
- ROC Multi Correxion 5-in-1 Anti Ageing Moisturiser 15ml
- Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream 30ml
Overall, I do think that was a lovely collection of treats for when you are on your period. Granted the false lashes wouldn’t be for everyone, but me personally I love wearing them and both pairs look really fun. I am looking forward to trying the food goodies and was really pleased to see the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream in there as when I’ve used it before I found it was really hydrating – perfect for this time of year. I haven’t tried the ROC Multi Correxion, so that should be good to try too.
In the little draw string bag and ‘For Later’ box we have our sanitary products. Pink Parcel sent me tampons which is a shame as on the questionnaire you have to fill out (Regarding time of your period, length and how often your cycle is) you were asked to state when you use during your time of the month and I selected towels. So, I do have quite a lot of tampons with what is in this bag and also the 2 ‘For Later’ boxes. I would say that the amount they sent was VERY generous and also these are branded sanitary products (Tampax Pearl), so not own brand stuff.
The Pink Parcel box is a monthly subscription so is catered to when you want it. You can change your dates at any time and is also the service is cancellable at any time too. I was really impressed that I ordered mine on a Friday night and it was 5 days before my period then and it still came in time and super fast on the Monday! So delivery was really quick too.
I do like this subscription idea and the first box being discounted at £5.95. Subsequent boxes are £9.99 and both prices are inclusive of delivery. I was disappointed with that I didn’t get sanitary products I will use but do think this is a really unique box and can see others really loving it too! I especially love the Teen Box idea and at present am considering it for my daughter.
Lots of Love,
