As you will know one of my biggest hair obsessions is Coconut Oil. Many do not realise that such a natural product can really do wonders for helping repair and penetrating your hair. I always have a tub of solid coconut oil in the house as its great for a treatment or even pre-bleaching. In honesty it can be messy though and having a product that is a lot easier to use and more reasonably priced too is obviously a great find, that’s why I’m so happy to have found the Coconut Oil Protein Pack.

I recently mentioned this product in my March Favourites (See it here) and raved about it there. As its a newer product I also wanted to review it so more people would hear about it. Initially the first one I received was sent to me, but I have since repurchased another one (The one pictured above and in the video) and its something I will be using once/twice a fortnight from now on.

The protein pack contains quite a lot of product (60g/2.10z) and I would say if you have shoulder length hair or longer not to ‘skimp’ with this (If your hair is short I would say you could use the packet twice, maybe 3 times).

I literally apply this like I would any other conditioning treatment or mask, I wash and rinse my hair, towel dry and then apply the protein pack to my hair from roots to tips. It recommends leaving it on for 10-20 minutes – I personally think the longer the better. I usually pop a shower cap on my head to help trap some heat in there and then when I’m ready, rinse it out.

My hair afterwards is soft, glossy and feels healthier (It looks a lot better too). Much like you would expect from any deep conditioner, except I find the results with this tend to last more than 1 wash. On average I wash my hair every other day and doing this once a week seems to really help keep that goodness its putting into my hair there.

At £1.99 I think this is a bargain and I’m really interested in trying more of the range. As its readily available at Superdrug, it means its something that’s easy to get hold of (Most towns have one and if its not stocked there you can always pick it up online).

This is a HUGE favourite for me at present and has really done wonders for my bleached hair. I used it as a conditioning treatment after bleaching last time and my hair felt amazing! I seriously cannot recommend this enough for those who have dry, damaged hair.

The Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Deep Conditioning Protein Pack costs £1.99 and is available at Sally stores nationwide and www.sallyexpress.com, Superdrug and other online retails. If you want to see the full Coconut Formula range from Palmer’s, click here.
