For some its All About the Base, for me its mostly all about the nails. Today’s post is my thoughts on the new No7 Nail Care and Treatment products I’ve been trying these past few weeks.
Being a nail tech and somewhat obsessed with my nails I love to try new nail products, especially when its something I can recommend to clients. No7 have got a fantastic nail care range and I really think its worth taking a look at if you want to keep your nails in tip top shape.
The new No7 nail care range consists of 4 products which I have been trying out over the past 4 weeks, so they’ve really been put through their paces. In the range there is Stength & Grow Treatment, Ridge Filler Base, Cuticle Oil and Nail Cleanse & Prime.
No7 Strength & Grow – ‘No7 Strength & Growth Treatment promotes natural nail growth and improves soft, weak and brittle nails by helping them to resist against splitting and breaking.’ *source*
Strength & Grow Treatment does exactly what it says on the bottle in my opinion. I have relatively strong nails anyway, but I have found there’s been less chipping and breaking since using this treatment. My nails have always grown pretty quickly too, so I can’t comment on if this does speed up growth, but can say if you are someone who has weak nails or has had infills/nail enhancements and is now wanting to strength your nails again, I would recommend this product. Its a really reasonable price and when used with the other products the results are very good. £8.00 for 10ml

This product has completely blown me away! I mean literally. I think the Ridge Filler Base is amazing and have already purchased another one as No7 have their voucher scheme going again at present. It got rid of my ridges instantly giving me a smooth base to work on and made my nails look a lot better too. I have always had a lot of ridges and I really do not like to over buff as this weakens the nails. However, this product really does work and it means when you apply your nail colour it looks a lot better too. Although the product does have a pale pink tone to it, minimal colour is transferred onto the nails, so even if you wear this under a clear polish, it will still look great. If there was only 1 product I could recommend to your for your nails this year, then it would be this one – its a must have! £8.00 for 10ml
No7 Cuticle Oil – ‘This easily absorbed and nourishing No7 Cuticle Oil leaves nails and cuticles feeling softer, smoother and hydrated.’*source*
Many people by pass cuticle oil and do not realise how essential it is for your nails and growth too. If you like products that have minimal scents then the Cuticle Oil from No7 could be for you. Its a great oil that you need very little of. I apply this after a manicure once the nails are dry and massage it into my cuticles. I also apply it at night before bed and do the same. I do believe that Cuticle Oils promote growth and definitely make your nail beds appearance look better too. This oil is reasonably priced, good quality and will last you ages too! £8.00 for 10ml
No7 Nail Cleanse & Prime – ‘This easily absorbed, fast, non drying nail cleanser effectively removes stains from nails and leaves them feeling conditioned after use.’ *source*
The Nail Cleanse & Prime is another product in my books you should get but probably don’t realise you need. Nail polish adheres better to nails when you have an oil free base. Often you will see a nail technician wipe your nail after buffing/filing etc. This isn’t just to remove dust, but also oils too, its one of the reason you often find your nail polish will last longer when you visit a salon even when you aren’t having UV nails done. This product is really good, it dries the oils up but not in a way that damages them and makes them brittle. I have been using this product religiously when I’ve changed my nail colour and have noticed an improvement in how long my nail varnish lasts too. I recommend this product almost as highly as the Ridge Filler as it really is a must have! £8.00 for 10ml.
