Today’s post is all about getting beautiful brows, here is my review on the new No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Kit. Included is my thoughts, swatches and a before/after too.
Up until a couple of years ago, my brows are something I never really did much with. I’ve always hated mine due to a scar I got when I was 6 from Chicken Pox. I’ve never been able to fill that area and I’ve always felt it stood out like a sore thumb, so why draw attention to it? But then I learnt that filling in your eyebrows wasn’t about having 2 solid slugs above your eyes, but defining what you have to look more polished. The No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Kit is the perfect compact kit for your make up bag or on the go to get beautiful, polished brows.
Here is some information on the No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Kit…
No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Kit let’s you create perfectly defined brows for face framing flattery. The combination of wax, powder and highlighter means goodbye to unruly brows. Top Tip- Try mixing the brow colours together to create your most natural shade.
How to Use
For Best Results:
- Apply the sift clear wax with the angled brush, following the natural shape of your brow.
- Using the opposite end of the brush, apply the colour using short, light strokes for a natural finish.
- Groom your brows using the fibre brush.
- Use your fingertip to apply the highlighter on to your brow bone for added definition.
The No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Kit comes with everything you will need contained in a nice sized compact which won’t take up a lot of room in your make up bag. What set this in front of many eyebrow kits on the market was that it also included the highlighter, but more so that that, it has 2 brushes (Its a double sided applicator) plus there is also an eyebrow spooly! This means you can give your brows a brush through to make sure they are shaped/blended well before and after too.
Surprisingly when I first looked in the eyebrow kit I didn’t think this would be suitable for all brows. The powders look quite light in the pan. However when swatches they appear a little darker add then over the wax and they darken still. Although I don’t think this would be suitable for those with black haired brows, I think it would work for many others. You can mix the powders to get the right shade, I found I mostly use the lighter powder and only used a tiny amount of the darker powder on my tail of the brow.
I was also slightly dubious of the highlighter in the kit. I rarely highlight my brows as I hate that ‘pearl’/over highlighted look on a brow and prefer a glow there. Even on the swatch I worried a little. However, I was really surprised when I did apply the highlighter to my brow bone how ‘glow’ like and ‘dewy’ it appeared. You can build this up to more of a gold toned shimmer though, so it does depend on how heavy handed you want to be.
Lasting power, this eyebrow kit worked REALLY well on my brows. I’ve been testing this out the past few days while the weathers been nicer here and I’ve been outside. So, I expected for it to sweat off in honesty. But, it didn’t. In fact my brows looked good all day and stayed put for around 6 hours. After that the powder faded a little, but not so they looked bad. A quick brush through with the spooly and they looked fine again.
Over all, I’ve had a lot of brow kits, from expensive professional ones to cheap of the cheap. The No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Kit sits in the ‘middle’ area when it comes to pricing, but for what you get in the kit (As I feel this is more of a ‘complete’ kit and not one of those kits where you will still need to reach for other products, including tools!) this is the best one I’ve tried. I think the only thing people may miss is a brow setting gel, but the wax does replace that. It lasted well on my brows, they looks put together, stayed in place and natural. So, I’m definitely a happy camper! The No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Kit gets my seal of approval.
Lots of Love,
