New Look Top 5 Day Dress Choices

Recently, I’ve been more in touch with my ‘feminine’ side and taken a liking to dresses. I’m not really a girlie girl, but with so many dress styles and prints on the market, I really do think there is a dress to suit most shapes.

Today I wanted to share with you my Top 5 Day Dress Wishlist from New Look’s in their Dress selection – http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/dresses/day-dresses/_/N-9utZbxc

Mela Green Contrast Collar Dress £24.00
Mela Green Contrast Collar Dress £24.00

I adore the cut and style of this dress. Its so feminine with minimal detail, yet very eye catching. I especially love the collar detail of the deep forest green against the black of the dress. This is one of those dresses that can be worn day or night with ease. It will look fantastic with boots or pumps and then for an evening some serious heels. At £24.00 I love it and would (If they did my size) definitely add this to my wardrobe.

Blue and Black Daisy Print Cap Sleeve Dress £22.99
Blue and Black Daisy Print Cap Sleeve Dress £22.99

Admittedly, for some the print on this blue and black daisy dress may be a little too much, however teamed with a black leather jacket, blazer or even a cardigan and it immediately tones down the print. Granted you wouldn’t need to add too much to this outfit  as ‘there’s a lot going on’ with the print, but it would certainly brighten your day wearing it. For me, I love the print on this dress, its feminine but not too much so. The cap sleeves makes a refreshing change from all my sleeveless dresses too!

Blue Necklace Trim Waffle Skater Dress £24.99
Blue Necklace Trim Waffle Skater Dress £24.99

If you know me well, you will know there are 2 things I love about this dress – firstly the colour, I adore cobalt blue and secondly, its a skater dress! I am most comfortable in the style of skater dresses as I find them the perfect shape and length for my figure. This dress HAS to be mine. There isn’t even a ‘maybe’ about it. I love the collar, I love the shape… LOVE LOVE LOVE. People of New Look, if you would like to give me this dress I will gladly accept! I think what makes this dress stand out is the necklace detail on the neck line. I am in love (There I have finished gushing!).

Cameo Black Long Sleeved Swing Dress £19.99
Cameo Black Long Sleeved Swing Dress £19.99

Swing dresses do not suit everyone. They are VERY flattering, but can also make you look a lot bigger than what you are. What I like about this dress is that the swing starts below the bust line, so will be more flattering and work on more body shapes. Being plain black its a staple item for Fall wardrobes and you can really go to town with the accessories with this dress. I also feel at £19.99 its a fantastic price too. If blacks not your thing, they also do this in a great burgundy shade.

Cameo Black Long Sleeved Swing Dress £24.99
Cameo Burgundy Long Sleeved Swing Dress £24.99

Last on my list, but by no means my least favourite is this gorgeous long sleeved swing dress. This is available in both black and burgundy, but I prefer this warm shade as it will be great for brightening your wardrobe on the cold Winter months that are coming. The cut of this dress is really flattering and I adore the neckline too as it means you can easily add a beautiful statement piece there. At £24.99 its a good price and again one I would be very happy having in my collection. I would team this with my biker jacket and a gold/black statement necklace. I can imagine myself wearing it now… Yes I am definitely getting this dress!
