Now I do love to home wax, mainly as I don’t always have time to get to a salon to get it done. That and when you can go some time between waxing, the embarrassment of going in there with ‘Yeti legs’ can be a bit too much. My other reason for liking to wax at home is I (Strangely) find it therapeutic (I know, I’m weird!). When I do wax I like to buy a kit that contains everything I will need and the Nair Argan Oil Washable Roll-On Wax pretty much covers it all.
The kit is really easy to use, the instructions are VERY thorough and easy to follow. Even down to how to heat your wax (I have a 800w Microwave and found 35 seconds was enough for those with lower than 1000w microwaves) was explained clearly. The process of actually waxing was very easy too, you literally roll on the wax (The top of the wax system has a large roller which makes this very easy), apply your strip and then rip it off (Trust me the instructions are more thorough, but I think most people know roughly how to wax so I am glossing over it).
What I really liked about this system was the fragrance of the wax. It smells amazing! Its kind of like sweet honey with a mild orange fragrance. It smells really good and even with my heavy cold I have at present I can tell you it was a relaxing aroma.
The wax contains Argan oil which as you will know it an amazing oil for your hair and body. It is great for soothing and helping dry skin. I thought this was a great addition to the wax for many ladies have dry legs (Although I should add this kit can also be used under the arms and bikini – I only used this on my legs). My skin after use felt REALLY soft and moisturised. It didn’t look as red either like it does after other wax systems.
Over all, I have really been impressed with this wax kit. The only thing I was so keen on was that I would have liked more of the washable strips. Now I know they are washable, but I really went through them while waxing and there’s no way I could have washed, dried and reused them that quickly. So, more wax strips would have been good.
Also, I used a lot of the wax too. Now I did apply it quite thickly, so feel this may have been down to me in honesty. I used about 3/4 of the bottle (Which was a lot for waxing my legs in my opinion and I think I could probably have applied less and got the same results. Still, I wanted to put that here and I do intend to buy another one of these kits and see if I can use less and get the same desired results).
However, the fact I have sensitive dry skin and my legs looked and felt amazing is enough of a pull for me to use this kit again and I will be adding it to my next Boots order. So far I’ve had smooth legs a week with no stubble. The kits always say up to 4 weeks, with legs I find I can sometimes go 2 weeks and I’m happy with that.
