Here is some information about the Nails Inc Latex nail polishes…
This ground breaking collection of four super smooth polishes brings a brand new texture to your nails – latex!
Latex effect polish applies glossy but dries into a waxy finish that looks and feels just like latex.
Taking inspiration from the SS14 catwalk, these new polishes mirror the pastel hue at Peter Pilotto, the dusky pinks at Burberry and the hot pinks at Victoria Beckham.
HOW TO APPLY
We recommend applying two coats of Latex effect polish over one coat of Kensington Caviar base coat. Leave the first coat to dry for one minute before applying the second coat. No need for a top coat as this will take away from the show stopping Latex effect.
Camden Passage is a gorgeous muted mushroom nude shade. It will go with anything, is understated and look great on any skin tone. What I loved about the Nails Inc Latex finish in Camden Palace was how my nails weren’t matte (Which I feel can look TOO HARSH on shorter nails) but weren’t glossy either (Nor did they have that ‘old gloss nail varnish’ finish that UV gloss nails can get when they need re-painting). Its a perfect finish and looks really elegant. I also loved stroking my nails with this on, I know weird right? It just feels so smooth and well ‘latex’ like!
Shoreditch High Street may be a mouthful of a name with a polish (Although I still stand true with loving the names Nails Inc give their polishes), but nothing can compare you to the gorgeous fuschia hot pink once its on your nails! This pink is perfect for the Summer. Its bright, but not so much its neon and will look amazing with a tan. What made Shoreditch High Street better in my opinion is with the Latex finish is appeared brighter, more latex looking that Camden Passage and the effect stood out more in my opinion. This was my favourite of the 2, although I did end up wearing them both using Shoreditch High Street as my mail colour and Camden Passage for my thumb and ring finger.
When it comes to wear the base of your nails with the Nails Inc Latex polish is VERY important. This polish will show ANY unevenness. So, I recommend a ridge filler underneath a mini buffing session if you have time to remove any marks or cuticles on the nail bed. These are 2 coat polishes although you could layer to 3. Also, if you do get a small chip, if you are careful you can touch up the nail and then run a thin coat over the top (But don’t over apply as they can look lumpy!!).
This polish is obviously better without a topcoat otherwise you lose the finish, I got 3 days wear before I got chips but admit I had been gardening. So, this may be better for some. However, remember this will vary from person to person and what their actual nails are like
Overall I really like the Latex polishes, the finish is unique and being that inbetween finish of semi gloss and matte nails will please many. The colour range is gorgeous and I admit come pay day I will be ordering that beautiful aqua ‘Bermondsey Street‘.
The Nails Inc Latex polishes are available directly from Nails Inc and cost £12.00 each. There are 4 shades in the range.
