Now when I first started using this spray, I wasn’t that keen on it. It’s tempting to use it like a regular hair spray and although it does have really great holding power, it’s not what its designed for. Then I started to experiment with it, I really got to grips with its capabilities and found its something I use often.

I use the Volume Supersizing Spray for 2 different things and find I get great results with both. If I have 2+ day hair and its ‘messy up do/bun’ time, this is perfect. As its a matt texture spray it means it doesn’t add shine to my already ‘greasy’ hair. So, it doesn’t make those areas stand out. But, with it being volumising it also means where my hair is a little flat, it gives it some oomph! I tend to spray this under sections at near my roots, mess it up a bit, pull my hair back into a high pony tail, create my messy bun and then spray some more on my bun. By pulling and teasing it about, it gives it great texture, volume and also gives it the illusion I have a lot more of a ‘bun’ than I actually do.

The second way I use this product is for when I am having a ‘messy loose, beachy waves’ kinda day. Again, as this creates texture and volume its great not just for the roots, but also scrunching those ends. In this instance it almost acts like a salt spray with a little more ‘tackiness’ feeling. So you can really manipulate the hair and get some volume there. What I love is that the volume really holds.

As I mentioned this in my video I wanted to put it in the review too, if you are a clip in hair extensions wearer, this product is amazing! If you often find you need to back comb and spray at the roots for the clips to hold and be hidden, then you really should try this spray out. It is super concentrated, so you literally only need a small amount for the back combing to hold. I generally don’t back comb under my clips, but have tried it with this spray and again, it really does hold and create volume.

The spray is in a can much like hair spray and it creates a fine mist on application. Its really easy to use and a product that won’t just be good for the ladies, but also those guys who like a messy ‘do’.

The only thing I wasn’t keen on about this product was the fragrance. It’s a little overpowering and chemical like. However, the scent doesn’t last on your hair – so it really only is when you spray the product.

I don’t think you can go wrong with the L’Oreal Studio Line #txt Volume Supersizing Spray. It has multiple uses and will work well in a variety of hair types and styles. It isn’t the easiest to brush out, but most texturising sprays aren’t. However, I didn’t notice any build up when I washed my hair after use, so its easily removed with washing.
