L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation has a bit of a cult following on YouTube. I love a foundation that makes me look glowy, dewy and lit from within, could this be the one to do it?
I first saw the Pro-Glow foundation on LusterLux’s channel. I’ve often found if she likes a foundation I usually do too, maybe we have the same skin type? I don’t know, I definitely have a few years on her. Either way, when I saw this foundation I had to have it. So I went on a search to find that I couldn’t buy this in the UK. L’Oreal hadn’t released it here and with it being a release last summer (I believe), I’m beginning to wonder if they ever will. Still trusty eBay found me the Pro-Glow and I ordered it.
GO PRO WITH AN ALL-DAY GLOW.
Lightweight and creamy, this long lasting foundation goes on smooth with a glow finish that lasts. With medium coverage, it instantly hides imperfections for a radiant complexion.
Apply to cheeks, forehead and chin blending in circular motion. Finish with Infallible Infallible Pro-Spray & Set™ for lasting glow look. *source*
Pro-Glow part of the Infallible collection. It boasts long wearing medium coverage. It also has an SPF 15 which is better than nothing too and suited to dry skin, which would make sense why I like it.
I have the colour 204 Natural Buff which suits my skin fairly well as my fake tan fades. With it freshly applied I’d say I’m more of a 205 and naturally without definitely one of the paler shades. There are quite a few swatch images out there and its fairly easy to work out what shade you will be.
Coverage is light/medium and buildable. Application for me is with a sponge and stippled it into my skin where I need extra coverage. I find I can get away without a primer most application. I do set this with a spray afterwards. Even powdered there is a light glow, but I prefer this one without.
The finish is, well glowy? Its not ultra dewy so you look greasy. This will not leave you looking like a unicorn. It is a subtle glow which makes my skin look fresh and youthful. Several times when wearing this I’ve had compliments. I do find I need to conceal my blemishes. They have a way of creeping through and my under eyes do have dark circles too. But I can get away with a fairly natural make up look with this one and still feel ‘fresh and made up’.
This foundation will suit most skin types that sit on the normal to drier side.I like it as I find matte foundations and even demi matte can make me look older and tired. I do find I get a good 4 hours wear before I might need to powder a little. Best of all this foundation does not cling to dry patches less they are VERY flakey. Even with moisturiser I look flakey, so there’s no hope there.
To conclude I love the Pro-Glow foundation and wish that L’Oreal would release it in the UK. I purchased mine from eBay (The price of it has now gone up to £13.95 and can be found here) for £12 so slightly more than I’d pay for L’Oreal normally in Superdrug/Boots. However, I would happily pay it again when it comes to replacing this foundation. I do find I use a little more of this one than my normal L’Oreal foundations. It is quite wet, but the finish is gorgeous and speaks for its self!
