Today’s review is on the Lee Stafford Frizz OFF Keratin Blow Dry Smoothing Spray and how it literally saved me from having a hair-catastrophe!
Yes, even those of us who are in the ‘know’ have bad hair days. Most days my hairs pretty good and well behaved, but I recently used a product (Review coming soon about that one) on my extensions while I was doing maintenance and to say it caused me to have frizz is an understatement. In fact, I was that embarrassed I couldn’t even take a picture. No amount of straightening, serums, hair spray, lotions or potions made that frizz go. It was beyond awful, in fact even Mark said it was bad and generally he doesn’t comment on stuff like that. So for 1 day I had to go out with hair ‘like that’ and it was awful (People of Lakeside and Ikea, I apologise for scaring you all!). So, on our way home I went bolding into Boots and looked at some intense Frizz fighting products, I saw the Lee Stafford Frizz OFF Keratin Blow Dry Smoothing Spray and knowing his products usually can be a little intense on my hair (And intense was just what I needed) picked one up.
Here is some information on the Lee Stafford Frizz OFF Keratin Blow Dry Smoothing Spray…
A dream product for all you ladies out there with difficult hair. Lee Stafford Frizz OFF Keratin Blow Dry Smoothing Spray gives instant results! It gets rid of frizz, protects the hair from heat damage, and strengthens the hair to reduce breakage. Frizzy hair can often be dry hair too! This multifunctional spray contains collagen, known for its rejuvenating and moisturising effects to tackle that troublesome dryness frizzy hair is prone to. Now you can really say Frizz OFF to frizz.
How to Use
Spray generously throughout towel dried hair and comb through from roots to tips.
Blow dry your hair as normal for a healthy, silky smooth finish that lasts from wash to wash.
I have used a lot of Lee Stafford products, I love their fragrances and find when my hair is dry they are great (Not so much when its in good condition as I find them a little too heavy and intensive). I had a feeling the Frizz OFF Keratin Blow Dry Smoothing Spray would cure my frizz but would the results last? So, I washed my hair with my regular shampoo and conditioner and towel dried it well. The spray says to use it ‘generously’ and as its like a ‘jet’ when you pump the spray (Its hard to get an even coating), I literally used around 5 pumps around my head (Not so much at my roots) and then combed it through really well. I did this in a variety of directions to try and distribute the product well throughout my hair. Then took a round brush (I used my large GHD 44mm barrel – post here), blow dried my hair in section. I then went over some areas with my straighteners for a smooth sleek finish.
Now the results were great, my hair was smooth, sleek and there wasn’t an ounce of frizz in sight! But as moisture in my hair had gotten my frizz in place in the first place, I was worried that the frizz would return. Nope, it stayed completely at bay! I was so happy and no longer looked like I’d suffered mild electrocution! In fact, the results lasted till my next wash.
Now, one thing I want to add here, this could be because I used a little too much, but my hair did get oilier more quickly. Even after dry shampoo on day 2 hair my roots were a little greasy (Even though I didn’t spray them with the product), also my ends although really smooth and silky felt a little greasy too come that evening. Day 3 and who was I kidding, I needed to wash my hair and STAT! With that in mind I would say if you do not have dry hair or your hair is VERY fine, I would be really careful with this product. Use the smallest amount as it is likely to make your hair a little greasy (Less you don’t mind frequent washing).
Other than that though, I could not recommend the Frizz OFF Keratin Blow Dry Smoothing Spray enough from Lee Stafford. My hair was so frizzy before it was beyond awful and I didn’t know what to do with it. Since first using this product I have now taken to pumping the product into my hands and working it through my hair in sections, this I have found is a better way of doing it and I only use 3 pumps in total – that for me is the perfect recipe. As with a lot of these products, sometimes its about finding out what your hair needs, so persevere!
Lots of Love,
