About 5 months ago I bought the LA Girl HD Pro bb Cream and Pro Concealer, I have been using these products frequently since I bought them and thought it was about time I shared my thoughts with you on them and some swatches too.
These 2 products are from the American brand LA Girl (The name kinda says it all right?) and are products I’ve frequently heard mentioned and used from American Youtubers. I literally came across them completely by accident and found them available on a UK site!
Here is some information on the LA Girl Pro Concealer…
Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. Provides complete, natural-looking coverage, evens skin tone, covers dark circles and minimizes fine lines around the eyes.
Firstly let me state, this is for under the eyes and not for spot coverage. If you are looking for spot coverage, then keep on walking. The product would not do the job for you. However, if you are looking for a brightening concealer that’s light weight and will help with those under eye circles, keep reading.
For reference the shade I have is Light Ivory. It is the 2nd lightest shade I believe and is VERY light. If you have light/medium skin tones then this would be ok for you I’d say. However, if you are medium and darker and don’t want to look like some of those dodgy celebrity pics you see of Kim K gone wrong, then I’d chose a darker shade.
The LA Girl Pro Concealer is not life changing. However, it is a really good product. If you do have drier under eyes I would recommend it. It does state it is crease resistant. I would agree to a point but if you are a little heavy handed it will crease. I always apply mine with the brush first, then pat it gently with my beauty blender. If you want to apply another layer you can, just do it lightly otherwise it will cake.
Over all this concealers pretty good, for £4.99 it does what it says on the tube and lasts well under my eyes. Even when my skin is playing up and my under eyes are extremely sensitive I found this product ok. I would repurchase it as I find it does work for me, however I did use this on my daughter when she had a school show and it didn’t do much for her – so it won’t be for everyone.
Here is some information on the LA Girl HD Pro bb Cream…
La girl HD Pro BB Cream an all-in-one skin beautifier! This essential new addition to L.A. Girl’s HD PRO series simplifies a basic skin and makeup regimen into a single tube. Indulge your skin with this powerful multitasker. HD PRO BB Cream primes, moisturizes and enhances skin tone. This product was formulated without parabens and fragrance-free to pamper sensitive skin and lavishly nourish skin with added Vitamin B3, C and E. The silky formula covers a wide range of skin tones offering eight shades.
Right if there is one product I could tell you that you need in your life, its the HD Pro bb Cream. This stuff is amazing and I really don’t say that about many products. I feel the ‘bb cream’ part of this product is a little misleading as I’ve never used a bb cream like it.
Coverage is VERY good. I am talking light medium coverage which is buildable. It is great on sensitive skin and suitable for most skin types. I would say if you do have oily skin that you’d need to powder probably more so than others, but don’t be put off because of that.
I find this product blurs my pores slightly, it doesn’t say it does, but it really does. My skin looks like my skin but better. It evens out my skin tones, conceals minor imperfections and blends in effortlessly. If I’m having a pale day, or I’ve not got much sleep and look a bit ill, this is brilliant. In fact, I wear this product most days and my skin looks good. I’ve never broke out from wearing it.
Usually I would wear a BB cream in Summer, when I want something lighter and avoid them in the cooler months. This BB cream could easily be worn all year round. The coverage really is that good and even without a primer, I find it lasts well on my skin for a good 4 hours without touching up. I love this product and cannot recommend it enough, especially when its only £4.99!
So overall, as you can see I really do love these 2 American products. I usually steer clear of the US stuff, just because it can be harder to repurchase. But I found both of these along with some Milani and LA Colours on a site called CoMedic. I’ve ordered from them twice now and both times the products were good and delivered in a reasonable amount of time – so I would recommend checking them out.
Lots of Love,
