Klorane Soothing Make-up Remover Wipes and Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion

With someone who has extremely sensetive skin and wears a lot of makeup I struggle at times to find products that can remove my makeup without drying my skin out, breaking me out in rashes or making my psoriasis and eczema flare up. I was recently sent a press release on Klorane introducing a makeup removing range into John Lewis stores. This instantly perked my interest.

There is two products in the range; Klorane Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion with Cornflower and Klorane Soothing Make-Up Removal Wipes with Cornflower. Cornflower Water is known for its calming natural soothing and cleansing properties. This unique active ingredient has been known traditionally to decongest puffy eyes and is suitable for even the most sensitive skin.

I was kindly sent a pack of the Klorane Soothing Make-Up Removal Wipes to try and review.

The packaging for the Klorane Soothing Make-Up Removal Wipes with Cornflower is quite basic. It is a plastic packet in a beautiful blue with white writing. It is clearly visible amongst other products. Although basic I was extremely impressed with the opening/closing fixture on these wipes. It is quite stiff and creates (I would think) quite a vacuum so your wipes are less likely to dry out! I find with many companies the ‘sticky’ labels to hold packets closed are useless and if they do have a plastic lid like these wipes, it is flimsy. This lid opening is stiff but firm.

Inside the lid there is a second seal which can be opened and closed again which adds extra security when it comes to keeping the wipes moist.

The pack contains 25 wipes which isn’t loads but they are a good size (I’ve taken a picture of the wipe over the packet so you could compare it) and remarkably I’ve found 1 wipe is enough when taking my makeup off.

The wipes have a light scent which is quite fresh but when I used them on my skin I could not smell it at all. They feel soft and gentle on the skin and less harsh (In my opinion) than cotton wool.

I have been using these wipes for a while and have found so far that they do not break me out in any rashes, effect my skin problems or make my skin feel tight and taunt after use. My skin feels fresh after I’ve taken my makeup off now, soft and cleansed. I also felt that they helped to brighten my skin somewhat after using them. This may be my imagination but my skin looked clean and happy, unlike its usual red, blotchy and inflamed self!

The Klorane Soothing Make-Up Removal Wipes cost £6.50. Not too expensive but not cheap either. This is a quality product though and I feel if you want to make your skin feel better while taken your makeup off then its worth the price. I’ve had so many reactions to other ‘sensetive’ makeup removing brands which don’t have perfumes or hash chemicals and spent a fortune on them, but at £6.50 I feel these wipes from Klorane are worth the outlay and the benefits they have given my skin.

Klorane Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion with Cornflower

Klorane Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion with Cornflower is £6.50 for 100ml. I have not tried this but would like too as I feel it would be as good as the wipes.

Both items can be purchased directly from John Lewis online and at selected John Lewis Stores.

Have you tried any of the Klorane range?

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
