HAUL : Makeup, Hair and Nails – Anything you would like reviewed or swatched?

Firstly sorry I didn’t get around to posting yesterday, I will be doing the review of Lauren’s Way Tan after this review today. I had a busy day and when I finally was heading home to blog I had a call from my ex husband to say my middle daughter had a possible fracture in her arm. Luckily she was ok after a trip to hospital but it kind of threw the whole day out the window.

This Haul is of things I’ve bought recently and not really mentioned. There’s more than I realised and still some bits I’ve not included; like the Lauren’s Way Tans, Leopard Print Cardi (Which deserves its own post as its too cute!), eyeshadow palettes and other lipsticks. The reasons they are not being mentioned in this haul is firstly it would make it a much drawn out post and also I’ve done separate reviews for them. I also thought I’d ask the question; is there anything you would like to see reviewed? If you see something in one of my hauls and would like a review or hear me mention something just ask and I’ll had it to my review list.

This is not in order of when I bought them or where from; more of types of product.

Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique – Stripe and Sparkle – Gloria and Pattie

While wondering the isles of Superdrug I saw a new stand and started making sounds like chatting to a new born baby – yes I’m strange at times. This stand had never been there before and was covered in nail varnishes of all kind and effects. I got physically excited and having purchased a few polishes lately (I’m going to need new storage for them soon) I decided on the Stripe and Sparkle ones. I bought the 2 colours I thought would be a bit cool – Gloria (Blue) and Patty (Black). There was more and depending on what I think of these I may go back for them. They both have glittler in the top of them so you can use that as well as the nail brush. I think they were £4.99 each.

Leighton Denny Nail Varnish in Infatuation

I saw this colour the other day on a TwitPic from Caterine and fell in love! It’s Infatuation by Leighton Denny and the most beautiful deep dark red nail varnish! Very much an Autumn colour for me but I knew if I didn’t order it now I just wouldn’t get it. I bought it from Amazon and it cost £11 (NOTD at some point will follow).

17 Smoke Signal Lasting Fix Nail Varnish, 17 All About Nude (Free) and 17 Mink Supreme Shine Nail Varnish

FREEBIE ALERT! I know I’m a sucker for a freebie. I saw this 17 All About Nude compact freebie on someone’s post the other day (Sorry can’t for life of me remember who’s) and had to have it! At present 17 are offering this free with any 2 purchases from the 17 range. I do love my nail varnishes so went for these 2 different colours to what I would normally wear; Smoke Signal Lasting Fix Nails Varnish and Mink Supreme Shine Nail Varnish. I currently have Mink on my toes and have to say it is the most beautiful nude Butterscotch/Toffee colour. I am going to put Smoke Signal on my nails probably tomorrow as the NOTD from Friday is chipping already (Lesson learnt, NYC in a New York Minute polishes are just rubbish on my nails!). The compact is really quite cute.

All About Nude Compact (Inside)

The compact has a lovely large mirror in it and contains; 2 eyeshadows (Top row), blush (Bottom Left) and lipstick (Bottom Right). I’m not really sure about the eyeshadows being ‘nudes’ but will try and do a look just using this palette soon to show you. I do like the look of the cream blush! In fact as it isn’t clear as to which is the lipstick and blush you could probably mix them about.  For a freebie I think it’s really cute and even if you just use it as a compact mirror for your handbag it’s worth its ‘freeness’!

RapidLash Lash Serum and L’Oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss

I don’t really think the Rapidlash needs any introduction! Most people have heard of it even if they have not used it! I have been researching and trying different lash serums now for quite a while. Having tried Lipocils and Lush Lash System by Urban Decay this is going to be my next one. I bought this on a recommendation and am hoping it has good results like it seems too for everyone else! Rapidlash was on a special on Boots Online, it had £5 off so was £35.00 and also you got £10.00 worth of Boots Points on your Advantage Card which made it more worth buying! I think this offer was only on for a week, so may be over now.

I’ve been wanting a new eyeliner after loving my gel ones I just wanted to try something a little different. I’ve heard good things about Carbon Gloss so thought I’d give it a go. Hoping that also lives up to my expectations. It cost £6.19 from Superdrug and I got it free as I used my points on my Beauty Card.

MUA Makeup Academy Professional Eden Palette (Trio), MUA Makeup Academy  Shade 2 Eye Dust, Shade 3 Eye Dust and Shade 1 Eye Dust

I have quite a collection of MUA products now! I am currently working my way through the large palettes and small trio palettes in the Professional range. I saw Eden (Top) and thought it was the most beautiful green collection. I don’t normally wear much green but thought this was gorgeous (Looking forward to doing an EOTD with it) and at £2.50 it was well worth it.

I have also finally got all the MUA Eye Dusts. I now have all 6, the most beautiful pots of loose pigments. Super sparkly and pretty and at a £1 each I am glad I have all 6 in my collection. Shade 2 is a rich purple, shade 3 a bright beautiful green and shade 1 Silver but more of a dark silvery grey.

Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream; Cotton Candy 1, Powder Puff 2, Fairy Cakes 3 and Angel Delight 4

The complete collection of Collection 2000 Cream Puffs! One of the most talked about Lip Creams at present! I am luck enough to be able to have got all 4 (Plus an extra one of Powder Puff) as they keep selling out in Superdrug and Boots! £2.99 each although they seem to have 3 for 2 offers on if you can get the colours you want. My favourites are Cotton Candy (Shade 1) and Fairy Cakes (Shade 3). I have worn both of them constantly over the past few days and love them. They are super smooth on your lips leaving them soft, the colour is matt which I love and the smell edible! If you haven’t tried them yet I really would!

Proclere Argan Oil Hair Treatment

Unless you have had your head in the sand this past year you will already know of the benefits of using Argan Oil (Moroccan Oil) in your hair. I have been looking around for a more ‘affordable’ approach to using it and think with this deal I have found it. Superdrug are currently selling this in their larger stores and online for £6.49! Yes £6.49 and its for 100ml! I believe this offer is only available throughout August so make sure you get it soon to take advantage! It works fantastic and really does make your hair soft, shiny, manageable and dry faster during styling! I also ran this through the hair extensions before drying them the other day and can honestly say the difference was incredible! I am a massive fan of this product now and will probably do a review on it after using it a month. At present I am only on week 2 but the different is amazing!

Well that’s my haul of products. If there is anything you would like me to review, swatch or make a look from then let me know with a comment or email and I’ll do my best!

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
