The Secrets Collection Hair Buns from Hairaisers, are hair a 1 piece extension that gives you an instant bun in seconds! I was so surprised by how easy this was to apply that I was ready far too early – this meant an extra coffee before the school run!
The hair bun comes in a box with its own protection netting. With a variety of colours to choose from I chose 24/SB which is quite close to my hair colour at present (Although my hair does need toning!). Instructions for use are really simple…
1 – Put Your Own Hair into a Bun.
2 – Place the Tousled Bun Over Your Own Hair Bun.
3 – Tighten the Drawstring.
4 – Hide Away the Drawstring Under the Bun.
It really is that easy. In fact for me to attach the bun it literally took a minute or 2 and half of that was me putting my hair into a little top knot (I was tired, it was early, it could take a lot less than that!). The only thing I additionally used extra was a hair grip as I wanted to make sure the ‘toggle/string’ was secure under the bun, but this really isn’t necessary.
Did the Tousled Bun feel secure? Well, I did my ‘hair shake test’ and it didn’t move! The 2 combs which are inside the bun, slide under your pony tail elastic, so there’s added security there, plus you have the toggle elastic holding it in place. Once on your hair, you cannot see any of these things at all!
Did it feel comfortable? I didn’t actually feel like I was wearing anything extra! Its super light and you don’t have that ‘tight’ feeling you can sometimes get if you create this look using extensions.
Did it look natural? My hair colour at present is a smidge more yellow than the bun, this is because I need to tone but was waiting for my toner to arrive. Being slightly lighter it didn’t look out of place and instead looked like I was rocking more of a ‘ombre’ bun. I got a few compliments on the school run asking me how I always look so put together and how did I do it? So, I’m going to say, people couldn’t tell. It is synthetic so does look a little shiny, however not so much that it looks fake and out of place. You can easily run a little hair oil through your own hair when popping it up into you bun before application to make your own hair shine too.
