I hadn’t subscribed to a beauty box in years, so decided to give Glossy Box a go again. Here’s what I got in my Glossybox November 2014. If you do not like spoilers and like to see what is in your box before reading about everyone elses, do not read this post!
For those of you who don’t know what Glossybox is, well its a monthly beauty subscription service. Each month you get a selection of 5 sample products (There’s usually one full size in there too). It gives you a chance to try brands you often haven’t tried before or maybe find a new love. In honesty the boxes can be very hit and miss, however each box will always be valued at more than the subscription value.
In my November 2014 Glossybox I got the following;
Lollipops Makeup Eye Pencil (In Black) – A retractable eye pencil with vitamin E and anti-ageing and anti-radical action. It has long lasting results and is a twistable product. Full size.
€14 (on xe.com exchange value £11.18)
Burt’s Bees Lip Shine (In Smooch 060) – 100% natural, sheer with some colour apricot wax lip shine. This smells edible and will keep your lips hydrated while adding that ‘just bitten into a raspberry’ hint of colour. Full size.
H20+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment – This is an oil free gel which delivers deep hydration while minimising the appearance of fine lines. Sample size 8ml.
£5.50 Sample sizes worth (Full size £27.50 for 50ml)
Monu Skincare Soothing Hawaii Facial Oil – A warming oil for the face with cardamon, sandalwood and lavender to soften, comfort and restore healthy skin. Sample size 30ml.
£7.80 Sample sizes worth (Full size £26.00 for 100ml)
OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Conditioner – (Previously Organix) OGX bring a unique precious blend of argan oil which rapidly penetrates the hair shaft restoring shine and softness while strengthening and creating soft, seductive, silky perfection. Sample size 88.7ml.
£0.75 Sample Size worth estimation (Full size £3.00 for 385ml)
Over all I wasn’t wow’ed by this box, but the products in it are interesting to me and relevant to the things I like. I’ve only used the conditioner before product wise, so everything else is a new product for me. I am a huge fan of Burt’s Bees products, so the lip shine (And especially the shade) are really exciting and I already know I’m going to love that. The Lollipops Eye liner looks nice and intense, so that should be fun to work with too. Recently I’ve gotten right into my skincare routine, both morning and night so the 2 skincare products will definitely be put through their paces too. The subscription price if paid monthly is £10 (plus there is £3.25), the box exceeds the value with the 2 full sized products alone. I’ll definitely be keeping my subscription for now and for those wondering, I didn’t subscribe for the limited edition Harvey Nichols box although did consider it. I just felt that there were products in it that I wouldn’t use.
Do you use any monthly subscription box services? What’s your favourite?
Lots of Love,
