I don’t often do FOTD posts as my look is always very similar. But as it was my Son’s birthday I felt like doing something a little different and had been sorting my ‘July Makeup Bag’ items out, so had a play with some different things. Here’s what I used…
The base was kept quite natural. As this was a day look, I wanted good coverage with all my flaws covered but without it looking like I tried too hard. I opted for my Ahava foundation as its one of the darkest I own and gives good coverage while still being moisturising (Its great for drier skin).
I concealed with my Lasting Perfection in Dark 4 which is the darkest shade they’ve got and a new purchase for me (I now own all shades – yay!).
I kept the blush light and only applied a light dusting and as I’m so tanned at present was able to use the ELF blush as a highlighter. My contour has been an issue recently as everything I have doesn’t produce a deep enough contour, so I ended up using my Sleek Contour kit in light and then going over it with the Living Nature Summer Bronzer. It was a subtle look and didn’t look too much but gave my face some definition.
I set my case products with my current favourite powder from MAC, Careblend pressed in Medium which is slightly too light for me but not noticeable.
I then applied my Vichy Aqualia Thermal Lips as its the best balm out there for dry lips in my opinion and my ultimate favourite!
My eyes is where I had some fun. I first did my brows with my HD Brows palette. I generally use the ashy blonde shade in there and then brush through.
Filling in any gaps in-between my lashes I have been using the Living Nature eye pencil in black recently. It lasts well as its not on my water line and makes my lashes look thicker and fuller at the base.
I curled my lashes and applied 1 coat of Cliniques High Lengths Mascara and then applied 1 coat of Wet’n’Wild Mega Lengths mascara on my bottom lashes (Its a great bottom lash mascara in my opinion).
Working my way from the outer corners in I applied Eylure Individual cluster lashes (Not single strands) in medium on the outer corners to small working my way in to 2 thirds of my eye. I used my favourite Ultrabond Lash Adhesive as they don’t budge then till I take my makeup off.
I finished off my look using a quad weft extension (This one is from Irresistible Me, the review is coming shortly) and tying it into a messy bun.
The whole look took a while as I was casually applying my makeup and eating breakfast (Or drinking it should I say as it was a smoothie), but could easily be done (Including the hair) in 20 minutes or less.
Lots of Love,
