Today’s review in on a beauty secret product, Embryolisse Smooth Radiant Complexion Immediate anti-fatigue. I often don’t buy into hype of products that the ‘stars’ apparently use, but this one has the seal of many of the make up artists out there for red carpet looks and I was curious as to whether it would be as good as they say. Here are my thoughts on the product from someone who doesn’t walk the red carpets but does like to have her skin to look good and her makeup on point.
Here is some information on the Embryolisse Smooth Radiant Complexion Immediate anti-fatigue…
Embryolisse expands its range of Artist Secret with a new arrival : the Smooth Radiant Complexion. It is a smart care with an immediate effect that erases signs of fatigue, an instant result of tightening and a lifting effect.
Upon application the skin is instantly plumper and smoother. In association with hyaluronic acid, a moisturiser based on biotechnology that saturates the skin with water while redefining it, the oat extracted natural sugars leave a tensor and lifting film over the face; the skin is smoothed out, fine lines are erased, the features are rested, allowing a better capture of the light. Mother-of-pearl pigments give a natural blur that enlighten the skin with an even radiance. A long-term actionVegetal extracts of lucerne and lupinus tone-up the skin by stimulating the collagen, and favour the lymphatic purification to diminish puffy eyes and black circles that cause the eyes’ sad and tired look. The vitamin E, from vegetal origin protects the skin against oxidative stress (UV, pollution, fatigue) by forming a shield against free radicals ageing factors.
I don’t tend to read about a product before I review it as I like to see what results I get and whether they match the hype. With the Embryolisse Smooth Radiant I’d already heard of it. I’ve seen this product mentioned in a few articles and by makeup artists, I knew there had to be something to its claims already. Still I did wonder if it was a load of baloney and started using the product about 10 days ago.
The product has a beautiful consistency. There’s that ‘pearl’ like finish you get with anti-fatigue/radiance products which I admit scared me a little. I didn’t want to have my whole face having that ‘glowing from within’ look. When you do have more mature skin (I’m 40 now after all), you can’t always pull it off. It feels like a gel, yet has a serum like quality to it. I applied this after my skincare regime (I cleanse, tone and then moisturise) and before my makeup. I found it was best to allow a few minutes at least before applying my makeup although this is mainly as my skin is quite dry. This product is for all skin types and my oily areas didn’t have any issues with this product and making my makeup slide off either.
On application my skin feels silky smooth, like a baby’s skin. It definitely feels plumper and firmer without that tightening feeling some plumping products can give. I liked that my skin felt hydrated without that ‘wet’ feeling. My skin was glowing and fresh looking, which I liked and loved how illuminated my skin looks without it looking over highlighted. When you apply your makeup over the top, you still have that slight illumination, but its more youthful and not ‘shiny/pearl like’. I have very few fine lines, just deep set ones now from weight gain (Which aren’t going to go away in a hurry). However, I did feel that the lines near my eyes looked less visible and when I apply my concealer under my eyes my dark circles look brighter and my concealer doesn’t sit do much in my creases. I also noticed my foundation lasted longer too when wearing this under my makeup.
Over all, I was VERY impressed. Considering how little you need of the Embryolisse Smooth Radiant, this product is well worth the investment. The product comes in a 40ml pump action bottle and I use 1-2 pumps per time (About the size of a pea). Admittedly, I don’t use this every day, but if I want a day (Only when I’m wearing makeup) where my skin needs a perk up and I want to look my best then this is something I reach for. I can’t talk about the long term benefits of this products as I’ve not used it long enough, but the short term benefits are worth the price in my books. If you do have 30+ skin showing the early signs of ageing and want a product that will help mask those while giving your skin a more youthful appearance, then I’d advice giving this a go – I am fan here that’s for sure!
Lots of Love,
