Diet/Review: Verdesse High Strength Green Coffee Extract

This review for Verdesse has been a long time in the making, namely as I have been using it for a few months now and wanted to give as honest and accurate of a review as possible. Here are my thoughts and findings on using Verdesse and whether it works.

Verdesse High Strength Green Coffee Extract

Here is some information about Verdesse…

We are pleased to present Verdesse®, a product designed for people following a calorie controlled weight loss diet. Verdesse® is a decaffeinated green coffee extract called Svetol® containing high levels of active compounds called chlorogenic acids, and one in particular which is called 5-caffeoylquinic acid. The coffee extract in Verdesse® is made from unroasted coffee beans, because the normal roasting process destroys many of the natural compounds.

In order to lose weight there is no alternative to restricting your calorie intake so that you consume fewer calories than your body is using. The body therefore has to make up the difference by burning fat. And anything you can do to reduce your calorie intake, or increase the rate you burn fat (such as exercise) will therefore help speed up the process of losing weight.

Verdesse® is not a miracle product and will not on its own cause any weight loss. But we are confident that you will be pleased with the product, and if you are not then we will refund you in full. No quibble!

Firstly, let me say I am not a dietician nor am I a medical professional. If you require technical details about this product I recommend looking at Nature’s Best who stock the product. There is a lot of information on the page about Verdesse, how it works, what’s in it and all the technical details I have no idea upon.

What I can tell you is how I found taking Verdesse, when I found it was working for me (And not) and the general experience of taking the product its self. You have to bare in mind this is not a miracle cure for weight loss, it clearly states that on the Nature’s Best website. As with all these things, you have to do certain things for them to work.

When I first started taking Verdesse I was on a calorie controlled diet. Before taking the product I was losing a steady 2lb per week on my calorie controlled diet, this had been the case for 5 weeks prior to taking it. So was a good starting point I felt.

In the previous month (28 days as I weigh weekly) I had lost 8lbs (This was before taking Verdesse). After taking Verdesse for 1 month (or 28 days, again as I weighed myself weekly) I lost 10.5lbs. So, I lost just over 0.5lb a week extra. This was with not doing anything additional that I had done prior to taking the tablets (So, the same amount of walking and exercise each week).

I noticed the best time for me to take Verdesse was with my larger meal (Cooked meal) each day. Mostly this was my evening meal around 6-6:30 each evening, but on a Sunday I tend to do a cooked late lunch at around 2-3pm. I would also take the recommended 2 tablets with this meal and also have a large glass of water.

I did not notice any side effects from taking the tablets. I felt just like my normal self which was one of my concerned being a green coffee product (Even though it clearly stated it was decaffeinated). I did notice (Maybe too much information, but I feel it should be mentioned) that I went to the toilet more regularly (I’m not talking in an ‘upset’ fashion either, just that my movements evened out). I felt more comfortable, less bloated and much like I did when I cut gluten out of my diet a few years back (Please note, I do eat gluten based products these days but still believe they make you sluggish).

In August I was going through a lot of stress and although I fell completely off the calorie controlled diet, but continued to take Verdesse. In this period of time they did nothing at all. But again, Verdesse stated that they had to be taken as part of a calorie controlled diet. This didn’t come as a surprise to me but I wanted to note it down to show you that being on a diet helps with this product working.

We are now in September and I am still taking Verdesse but this time eating healthily and cutting out the naughty things. I am restricting my calorie intake and working out like I was before. In the past 2 weeks I have lost another 5lb. So, I feel again Verdesse is working for me.

I feel with these types of products people have unreal expectations. Verdesse is a product that you have to give a little, to get a little. I feel it has worked for me and helped with my weight loss to speed it up slightly. It only works when I am dieting and I am pleased it hasn’t given me any side effects. For some the small amount of weight loss it has helped me have, may feel it isn’t worth the outlay. I feel it helps boost my morale a little, its too easy with diets to lose morale if you are having a bad week. With Verdesse even on my bad ‘time of the month’ week where I nearly always gain, I still lost. It was only a small loss, but that made it worth while.

Although I was sent Verdesse to try and review I would still have told you honestly how it worked for me, even if it hadn’t worked. As I stated, when I wasn’t dieting, it did not work. This product has only worked while I am on a calorie controlled diet. I will continue to take Verdesse until I feel I don’t need too any more. As they do offer a no quibble guarantee I would recommend trying it out and seeing whether it works for you too. After all, you have nothing to lose really do you? Just weight!

Verdesse is sold with 60 tablets to a packet (2 x tablets a day – So, 30 days supply). The tablets are coated so easier to swallow (I recommend taking them with a large glass of water). You can purchase Verdesse from Nature’s Best for £14.95 for 60 tablets.

Lots of Love,
