Today’s post is all about something I’ve been raving about, CODE FFL (Forget False Lashes) and also their VLM (Volumising Lengthening Mascara). I’ve been putting these products to the test for a while now and I think its about time I shared my thoughts with you.
CODE isn’t a brand I’d heard of prior to trying out these products and was something new to me. I am mad about mascara so when I saw they did a lash primer and a volumising lengthening mascara I was just a wee bit excited! If you like long lashes and a bit of drama, then keeping reading.
Here is some information on the CODE FFL Forget Fake Lashes…
Created for those ladies with super short, sparse lashes or for those who want the fake lash look but in a natural, beautiful way. This pre-mascara lash plumper upgrades lashes before mascara is applied, giving instant volume, thickness and length.
CODE FFL has got ladies dumping their falsies! Ladies who want to get thicker, fuller lashes and then some… can now Forget Fake Lashes.
CODE FFL upgrades lashes, enhancing short and sparse lashes to give a real boost pre-mascara.
Now I have mentioned the CODE FFL in several of my videos now (My most recent being my November Favourites) and to say its been something I’ve used frequently would be an understatement. I absolutely love what this product does to my lashes. Where I wear it alone (When you are having one of those natural makeup days) or under any mascara I own.
Being a tinted light brown shade it dries to a darker shade than my natural dark blonde lashes. Instantly there is length and definition before I apply anything else over it. What I’ve loved about this product is that it has worked under any mascara I’ve tried it with. When I first got it I wasn’t trying it with the CODE VLM. However, since having that I’ve been working these 2 bad boys together and I’ve been really impressed! I can definitely see a difference when wearing this product and I love the results it gives me.
The only thing I didn’t like about CODE FFL if I’m being really picky is the lash primer wand, its a bit sharp/prickly if you are really get it close to the base of your lashes. The formula doesn’t sting my eyes etc or anything like that but it did take me a while to get used to that wand. However, I felt the good far out weighed the bad with this lash primer and I’m totally sold on it!
Here is some information about the CODE VLM Volumising Lengthening Mascara…
CODE Beautiful VLM is a luscious glossy black fibre based mascara with an exceptional brush that gives fabulous lash lift, length and volume. It’s amazing build on build technology allows you to build layers for the perfect look for you, day or night time and does not smudge, flake or clump. It’s also tear proof for those emotional moments. CODE VLM is kind to your lashes with vitamins and waxes to encourage lash growth. Using the CODE Beautiful ‘Roots, Wriggle and Roll’ technique described in this stylish mascara box will ensure you have clump free gorgeous long and volumised lashes all day long. The product is also paraben free.
Looking at CODE VLM results, nothing else, not the brush or the formula, I would liken it to Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara. I can achieve exactly the same results using this product on its own or with the CODE FFL under it. Its really is one of those products that I openly admit surprised me.
The wand is cone shaped with the bristles being close together, so you can tell its going to create a lot of volume and drama. The formula is black, its a good true black and defines the lashes nicely. I loved that I could create good length and volume while using this.
One claim I noticed was that it does smudge, flake or clump and do tend to agree. My lashes looked as good 7 hours later as they did when I first applied this mascara and there was not a panda eye in sight! So, its long wearing which I loved too. I also had no reaction to this product either.
Over all, I did like CODE VLM its a great mascara although I actually preferred this on its on to applying it over the CODE FFL as I found it gave me too much volume, where as I prefer lots of length and minimal volume when my lashes are quite dense anyway. I would recommend this if you do like some volume or have lashes that are a bit sparse!
