Summer is a time when body oils are a must. I love my tan looking its best, hydrated and smelling like I’ve just stepped off a beach. Today’s review is on the Barry M In the Glow Body Oil Liquid Bronzer.
With pure Coconut Oil and the tropical fragrance of Tahitian Gardenia, In the Glow body oil will soothe, hydrate and add a subtle sunkissed glow to all skin tones. Simply apply over the body after showering and smooth into your skin for a richly moisturised, beautifully bronzed look. Allow a few minutes for the skin to absorb the product before dressing.*source*
When I first saw the In the Glow body oil from Barry M I admit I was a little excited. Granted the packaging didn’t look anything exciting for the oil, but packaging isn’t everything.
The bronzing oil has a tinted bronze colour with glitter like sparkles. The glitter is not chunky so won’t stand out on your skin. This bronzer gives your skin that nice bronze glow. It is very sheer so it really would suit any skin tone I feel.
The fragrance is really lovely. There is that tropical holiday scent to it that I love in the summer (Escada’s Born In Paradise anyone?) and reminds me of holidays. The bronzing oil not only hydrates you skin but also gives you that subtle fragrance too which lingers for a while.
I feel I should mention the things I don’t like about this body oil. Most body oils I can wear all over. I found In The Glow from Barry M a little too greasy for that. I didn’t have any reactions to the body oil with my sensitive skin which was a plus, but the tint did seem to emphasise my dryer areas of skin. Being tinted the bronzer does state to allow time to dry before dressing. Even though this was the case for me, the body oil did still transfer onto clothing. So I would avoid contact with clothes.
So to conclude the Barry M In The Glow body oil isn’t a bad buy. I would not compare this to Nuxe Shimmering body oil, there is no comparison. But this isn’t a bad body oil and I did love how it looks on my collar bone, shoulders and legs.
