#30DaysOfRed Day 7 – Burt’s Bees Lip Shine in Smooch

Wow we are 1 week in already of my #30daysofred in November and so far I think there’s been some lovely shades of red lipstick! Today’s red is definitely more budget friendly than yesterdays that’s for sure and not ‘really’ a traditional red lip!

Today’s red isn’t what I guess a lot of you will call a red lip, however this is a tinted lip balm and in my books that still comes under the red lip category. Especially when this isn’t something you necessarily have to wear on its own but can also wear over another lip stick. Introducing Burt’s Bees Lip Shine in Smooch.

Now I admit to being a bit of a Burt’s Bees junkie. Whenever I get sore lips I often buy a Burt’s Bees lip balm. However, the Lip Shines are a little different. They are like a hybrid of a lip balm and lip gloss all rolled into one if I had to describe them in some way.

Admittedly I didn’t purchase product per se, I believe it was in a beauty box. I did enjoy using it from the get go though and it was only while I was putting together the lip products for #30daysofred I rediscovered it.

Smooch is the perfect ‘I’m wearing something but you can hardly tell’ lip product. It gives your lips a hint of colour while moisturising them with 100% natural products – what’s not to like right? I like wearing this on its own to keep my lips moisturised or if I’m wearing a matte lipstick I’ll often apply this just the the middle of my lips for hydration and to help my lipstick last a bit longer there.

The Burt’s Bees Lip shine’s cost £7.99, you can buy them direct from Burt’s Bees and I believe Boots still do them too.
