November is flying by while I’ve been doing my #30daysofred and today on day 18 I’ve a lovely formula from a brand I adore which is bright, vibrant and sure to get your lips noticed!

Lips aside, if there is one nail varnish brand I buy time and time again its Barry M. I adore their Gelly nail varnishes, I own to many its ridiculous (Often multiples of the same colour). So, when they released a lip formula that was ultra glossy without the stickiness of a lip gloss I was jumping for joy. Today’s lips for #30daysofred is the gorgeous Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lips in Alpha.

The pencil format of this product is brilliant. Granted you will need a larger sized pencil sharpener to keep it nice and pointed, but that’s easily purchased. So, application is super simple, its almost like using a lip liner, just larger and means if you wish to overdraw your lips to make your pout more pouty, its a doddle with this one. The formula is lovely and moisturising and has a high shine without the sticky feeling of a lip gloss – perfect right?!

This colour is not for the shy of colour people. Admittedly when I wear it I do get a lot of looks and compliments. Its vibrant and super pigmented, something that really surprised me for a product that doesn’t cost a great deal. Alpha is an ‘in your face’ orange toned red. It’s the boss of all Reds, you just wouldn’t mess with it. I love this shade even though I favour the more cool toned reds and berries. This does transfer quite a lot when you wear it which is a shame and doesn’t stain your lips either, however its quite easy to reapply on the go. If you’ve not tried this formula I highly recommend it!

The Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lips is available from Barry M Cosmetics, Boots and Superdrug. It costs £4.99.
