For day 13 of my #30daysofred lip challenge in November I have one of my favourite lipsticks because not only is a matte formula, its a crayon style lipstick and but also has raspberry tones!
Admittedly one of my favourite lip formulas is matte. I love matte lips but you really do need to have pretty perfect lips to wear products like that, also the lipsticks can be really drying. Today’s red lipstick is not only matte, but super moisturising too and won’t dry your lips out! Introducing the gorgeous No7 Matte Lip Crayon in Raspberry Wine.
Raspberry wine was from the Autumn 2014 releases with No7 and its something I’ve worn too many times to count! In fact, I really don’t have very much of this one left and will have to repurchase it soon.
Being a crayon style makes application a doddle. Although the tips do tend to wear and become more ’rounded’ I find they still apply really well and never use a lip brush with these.
Although this is matte in appearance I want to add, it feels nothing like a matte lipstick on your lips. In fact, it has more of a hydrating feel, rather moisturising like a regular lipstick. Colour pay off is good too although if you are wearing this one you will need to reapply throughout the day as it does transfer. However, even though its a deeper tone it doesn’t seem to bleed on my lips.
Raspberry Wine is that ‘I’m not a pink and I’m not a red, I’m somewhere in between’, it really is a perfect raspberry colour. People often will find colours like this easier to wear than the bold reds, I personally like wearing colours like this as they bring out the blue in my eyes. Raspberry Wine is a great lipstick for day or night and one I wouldn’t be without. If you’ve not tried the formula and like a matte lip I’d definitely recommend going to a No7 counter and swatching this one!
