It is with great excitement I am writing this nail polish review today, for I think I’ve found the closest dupe yet to another favourite polish of mine.
For a very long time I was looking for a dupe of Nails Inc Baker Street, the intense blue that Beyonce wore when on her first outing with her daughter (Post here) and I’m pleased to say that Barry M Gelly Nail Polish in Blue Grape GNP 17 is the closest match I’ve found to date and at a fraction of the price!
Although Barry M Gelly Polish looks a smidge darker in these photos (They were taken with 2 different camera types), I tested these against each other and the difference is ridiculously minimal.
As with all of the Gelly Nail polishes which I have a huge collection of (Reviews and NOTD posts click here), this one is as fabulous as those. I may even like this as much as I love Lychee which is without a doubt my favourite nude ever.
The colour as you can see is an intense cobalt blue shade, the high gloss finish makes this nail polish stand out even more than the others I feel.
My only quip with this nail polish was the formula was different to the others, it was definitely thicker, like that of an older polish. I did wonder if the one I had bought had previously been opened or something and maybe it was slightly off? I don’t know really, just that the formula was thick and it took a lot longer to dry.
That aside, Barry M Blue Grape is a beautiful rich colour and will look just as amazing this Summer with a tan as it will throughout Autumn and Winter when you may want to grace a darker side.
The Barry M Gelly Polishes are available in 14 shades (For full shade range click here) and cost around £3.99 for 10ml of polish. You can purchase them directly from Barry M Cosmetics and also buy them in most Boots stores/online and in Superdrug. At present Boots has their complete Nail Varnish range on Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price. So its a good time to take advantage!
Lots of Love,
Mel xxxx
