Trilogy are a brand I think most ladies have heard of. Known for their amazing skin care and body products its a brand I associate with good quality products that are somewhat luxurious too. I recently was asked if I’d like too try the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream and as I’d not tried any of their products before (My Mum loves Trilogy products and says that are amazing). I wanted to see if they were as good as everyone says they are.

The Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream contains an SPF 15 and is part of Trilogy Face Care range. I quite liked the packaging as the colour was very natural. The packaging design is simple, clean cut and understated (I can’t help it from a Graphic Designing point of view I am a packaging fiend!) but very effective.

Inside the box we are greeted with a tube and flip top lid. Both felt very solid and sturdy. In fact I struggled getting the flip top lid open on more than one occasion so feel this lid won’t be one of the flimsy ones that breaks or snaps off.

Here is a little information about the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream with SPF15 *source*

Daily nourishment and hydration with natural UV protection.

This deeply moisturising cream intensively replenishes all skin types and protects with a natural UV protection. Evening Primrose, Marula and certified organic Rosehip oils hydrate and rebuild the skin whilst smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to reveal a beautiful, healthy-looking complexion. Non-greasy and fast absorbing, it provides the perfect base for makeup application.

The cream was quite thick on application and absorbs well into the skin. This cream is not greasy at all and doesn’t leave that ‘slick’ feeling that some creams leave on your skin. I loved the aroma of rose hip; its a smell that is sweet and floral and very relaxing. So I found massaging the cream into my face and neck a very relaxing experience.  The scent it by no means overpowering at all. The cream would be suited to normal to dry skin in my opinion, but for skin that is exceptionally dry I don’t think it would have enough moisturising qualities in it.

As I am just getting over a cold and my skin isn’t in the best condition from blowing my nose repeatedly I found the cream was good on the areas of my face which are dry but not eczema prone. Around my nose, forehead (Near hair line) and under my eyes) this cream wasn’t enough for me and my skin although moisturised needed a little more. However in Summer I feel this cream would be perfect for my skin as my eczema and skin complaints improve when there is more Sun! I can definitely see me using this product in the warmer months!

My skin had no reactions to Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream at all so I feel this cream would be suitable for people with sensitive skin.

Over all I really liked the Vital Moisturising Cream for a few reasons; it contained an SPF which not all creams contain. I do try to take care of my skin and protect it against the Sun and element damage so an SPF for me is important. The cream absorbed quickly into my skin and didn’t feel greasy at all. It meant I could apply my makeup almost immediately which I rarely can do. I really loved the smell it is heavenly. My only complaint is that I couldn’t use this cream all year around. Those people who don’t have extremely dry skin you could easily use this daily.

The Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream is around £17 for 50ml which will last you a reasonable amount of time. I would pay this just for the fragrance of the cream as I love the rose hip scent but the cream is pretty good in my book too so worth the money! You can buy the Trilogy range in Boots and online from various outlets.

Have you used any of the Trilogy range? What are your thoughts?

Lots of Love,
