With so many moisturisers on the market, sometimes its hard finding one that’s right for you. I struggle immensely with this problem as I have extremely sensitive skin. Finding a product that won’t break me out in spots, will hydrated my dry skin and not make my eczema or psoriasis flare up, at times can be extremely hard – but not impossible.

I was recently sent the Thirst Aid 12 hour Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin by Naked as part of their skin care range. I had heard of Naked before and seen their haircare products, but didn’t know they did a skin care range. Here are my thoughts and findings…

Here’s a little information straight from those lovely people at Naked about their Thirst Aid 12 Hour Moisturiser….

Like all oils, starflower, neroli and argan are hydrating and they smell amazing too. We have a bit of a crush on shea butter as it’s so good at helping keep our skin soft and smooth; much more rewarding than those crushes we had in school!

Clinically tested for sensitive skin. Dermatologically tested. Fragrance free. Alcohol free

Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

The Thirst Aid 12 Hour Moisturiser comes in a convenient tub with a screw top lid. Its pretty secure and easy to open. On top of the cream there is also a plastic closure, so its slightly more hygienic in my opinion and won’t get stuck in the lid like with many other creams.

The cream contains some amazing ingredients and smells absolutely amazing. It has a naturally sweet, herbal like fragrance which smells fresh. This fragrance lasts really well on the skin and is by no means overpowering at all.

With ingredients like argon oil, neroli oil and shea butter you know its going to be extremely moisturising on the skin. Everyone knows of the amazing properties of argon oil and what it can do for your hair – now combine that with the moisturising properties of shea butter and neroli oil and you have an amazing cocktail of hydration.

When I first applied the Thirst Aid 12 hour Moisturiser on my skin I felt it may be too heavy and make my skin feel greasy. However, I was really surprised! When you first apply the cream it feels quite thick, you skin feels very moisturised and almost ‘wet’. Within seconds, the cream is absorbed into your skin, leaving your skin feeling really soft, smooth and moisturised.

Another plus point with this cream is that its designed for sensitive skin. As I suffer with dry sensitive skin with eczema and psoriasis I was dubious about whether my skin would have a reaction – but my skin was absolutely fine. In fact it looked much better, less dry and smoother.

I have been using the Naked Skin Thirst Aid 12 Hour Moisturiser twice daily for 2 weeks and am really impressed. Its a great moisturiser, it makes my skin feel really good, I don’t have any reactions to it at all and its good value too.

Naked Skin Thirst Aid 12 Hour Moisturiser costs £7.49 for 100ml of product, as you need such a small amount the tubs going to last you a while making it great value. This is a product I would use again as its worked well on my skin.
