Review: Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Facial Wax Strips

If there is one thing I think you can see from my blog is that I like to try things to save myself money. This day and age services can be expensive and if you can by chance do something yourself, why not? For years I had my brows threaded or waxed. I liked the long lasting results and paid in the region of between £5-£9 (Depending on the treatment and location) for the service. Not a huge outlay really when you get it done every 4-6 weeks say, but still if you could save money doing it would that be great?

I have tried other facial wax products before and will be honest and say I didn’t have much success. They were either very messy or just didn’t work at all. Having tried the Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Power Cream and repurchased it several times (Its brilliant if you are a tad sensitive for doing the bikini area!! Review Here) I was curious as to how the Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Facial Wax Strips would be.

Like many facial wax strip kits it comes with pretty much all you need. Although I only use these kits for my eyebrows, they are suitable for all facial hair (I would definitely consider using them for uper lip hair if/when I need too). The kit contains;

20 Clay Wax Strips

2 Cooling pre-wips to prepare the skin

2 post wipes to help concision and moisturise (These also remove any sticky wax residue you have left on you if need be)

If you are using them for brows, I would also recommend having twezers at hand, there is always the odd stray hair that needs plucking!

Although it may look a little daunting just by reading the instructions carefully and taking your time means you could do your brows as well as if you had them done in a salon. I’ve taken some pictures of doing my own (Before and Afters if you like)…

As with all waxing products a sensitivity test is recommended even if you have used wax before. I would highly recommend this after having my brows done at a well known beauty brand and having a severe reaction to their wax. It is the only wax I have ever had a reaction too and lasted 6 weeks!

What impressed me about the Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Facial Wax Strips

  • The strips were really ‘waxy’, so you could use the same strip more than once I found.
  • There was minimal residue left on my brows after use to wipe away.
  • The wipes provided were both moisturising and perfect on my super sensitive skin.
  • The results last a few weeks.
  • I wasn’t left with that obvious ‘you’ve just been waxed’ red glow. These are the only wax strips I’ve used which leave my skin a pale pink shade after and this diminishes in about 5 minutes – so no tell tale signs of waxing.

Anything I didn’t like?

Actually no. Overall I was really impressed with these wax strips and they are without a doubt the best facial wax strips I have ever tried.

The Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Facial Wax Strips are really reasonable in price too. For the 20 odd strips you get I find 3-4 is enough to fully do my brows and leave them in tip top condition. If you then look at the fact that these wax strips cost the equvialient of 1 treatment I used to pay for and I can get about 5-6 treatments out of a pack of these… Well, I think that speaks for its self really.

I will definitely continue to use these wax strips now I have found something that works for me and gives me the results I want. As I said, I have only tried these on my brows so can only really comment on them for that point of view, but do not see why they would not perform as well on other areas of the face to remove facial hair.

The Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Facial Wax Strips costs around £5.69 and are available from Boots and Superdrug stores (And online). At present Boots has them on offer at a ridiculously cheap price of £2.84! So, if you do want to try them then now is the time to buy!
