Being a massive fan of the Dr. Organic range and having a voucher to spend in Holland and Barrett’s recently, I treated myself to a few things (Including a couple more packs of my favourite facial wipes – Dr Organic Aloe Vera 2 in 1 wipes, review here) and a product I’d not tried before from their range, the Rose Otto Lip Balm Serum. Here’s my thoughts…

Here’s a little information about the Rose Otto Lip Balm Serum…

This uplifting aromatic Lip Serum instantly hydrates the lips with a complex proprietary blend of bioactive, natural and organic ingredients including organic Rose Oil and Geranium.

 Directions:

Apply to the lips and skin as and when required.

As many of you will know I’m a massive fan of lip balm products, I have a ridiculous amount – my theory is you can never have too many though. I carry around at least 2 lips balms at all times and feel lost without them. Wearing lip balm is something I do all the time, where as I don’t always wear lipstick.

The convenient tube with a screw top lid, is angled so it works much like a lipstick. This makes application a doodle and means you tend to use less product. The only thing I don’t like with this style of tube is that it can get a bit messy if you don’t give the top a wipe between uses where the balm comes out.

One of the things I love about Dr Organic’s products is they are Paraben free and natural. I try and use products that contain ingredients that are good for my skin and trust Dr Organic products as they always work well for me.

The lip balm serum is really thick, a small amount is all thats required. This means the 10ml tube product will last you ages, so its quite economical too.

The Rose Otto lip balm serum glides on the lips and has no colour at all, so just leaves a nice glossy finish. I found it didn’t leave my lips greasy, but they did feel like they were wearing a glossy lipstick. My lips looked shiny, felt moisturised and hydrated.

The lip balm smells absolutely amazing! Its sweet and girlie, the vanilla bean is quite strong with a light rose undertone – strangely it actually smells like a fruity vanilla scent. Either way, I absolutely love the fragrance – shame it doesn’t taste as good as it smells.

The Dr Organic Rose Otto Lip Balm Serum in my books was a good buy. I love how it makes my lips feel and smells amazing. At present it costs £4.09 in Holland & Barrett, but you can purchase two for £6.13 – s0 quite a saving if you bulk buy!

For more information on the Dr Organic range why not check out their website, you can also purchase the range from Holland & Barrett stores and online too.

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
