I’m all for saving a penny or 2 and picking up a bargain, even better when that bargain is a Clarins lipstick in a gorgeous shade. Today, I thought I’d share it with you. Here’s my thoughts on Clarins Joli Rouge Long Wearing Lipstick in Hawaiian Coral (706).

Here’s a little information about Clarins Joli Rouge Long Wearing Lipstick….

Create irresistible kissme lips with Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick. Joli rouge offers an innovative and incredibly creamy melting texture with a comfortable feel on application. The intense colour is enhanced by its shine, to give a really vibrant makeup result. It also cares for your lips mango butter repairs, nourishes and protects against dehydration.

I sometimes wonder if I was a magpie in a former life, not that I go around stealing things! I mean in the sense that I love shiny, sparkly objects. Whenever my lipsticks have shiny silver or gold casing it makes me feel a little more special – strange but true. The Clarins Joli Rouge Long Wearing Lipstick has a gorgeous silver casing with deep red end. Its solid, secure and unlikely to come open in your bag.

I chose the shade Hawaiian Coral (Shade number 706). Normally I wouldn’t have gone for such a shade but in swatching it isn’t really a coral shade at all, but more of a pink nude (It reminds me a little of Lovelorn by MAC with a more pigmented finish).

On the lips it literally glides on. This is one of those lipsticks I feel its best applied directly from the stick and not with a lip brush. Your lips instantly feel moisturised, look glossy without the full appearance of a lip gloss and have a gorgeous hue of colour. I was really impressed with the colour as its a gorgeous pink shade, a little more than a nude but not so full on. It will suit fair to medium skin shades. I think anything darker and it may make you look too tanned or have ‘ghost lips’.

Now for the best part about this lipstick, I found this lipstick while browsing a site called Xtras-Online, this lipstick cost £3.99! What a bargain. I was really impressed, for the price and the results. I’ll definitely be getting a few more bits from there as they do have a good range.

If you’d like to check out, click here Xtras Online, they do quite a range of Clarins products too.

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
