Tomorrow is the final day to enter my giveaway to win some Barefoot SOS goodies! (If you’d like to enter there’s still time – giveaway closes 23rd December at Midnight GMT). I would never give away something I didn’t think was worth giving so requested if I could try one too; so here is my review on one of the products in the giveaway (Please note you won’t be sent this used one!!) the Barefoot SOS Soothing Face and Body Wash.

The first thing I noticed and loved about the Barefoot SOS range was the universal packaging.I love it when a brand has the same packaging for a collection as its easy to find products that compliment each other. The crisps white packaging with two tone green looks fresh and reminds me of things that are natural – perfect for products that are designed for sensitive dry skin!

Here’s some information about the Soothing Face and Body Wash (For those that like the technical bits);

The face and body wash is applied differently to most body washes in that its application is similar to some cleansers. You apply the soothing face and body wash to your skin without wetting it, working the product into your skin in a circular motion. When happy with the massaging, just rinse the product with warm water and you are left with a clean fresh face.

Many of you who already read my blog will know I have exceptionally sensitive skin. I avoid most soaps and often stick to brands I know and trust when it comes too skin care as I worry about reactions. The face and body wash interested me as its geared towards my type of skin and suggested it may be suitable for people with eczema and psoriasis. As I have both on my face and body I have given this product a thorough testing to see if I would get a reaction. Here’s what I found;

My skin felt soft and smooth, not like when I often have used body washes before.

There was no ‘tight’ feeling yet my skin felt clean.

The product smells wonderful and leaves a light fresh smell on your skin afterwards which isn’t over powering.

You do not need a lot of this product! A small amount is ample and I feel the 200ml would last a fair time.

My areas of psoriasis under my eye (Which are extremely sore at present because of the cold weather) reduced in ‘flakiness’ slightly. I can only guess this is because of the primrose and jojoba oil in the face and body wash.

On my areas on eczema, there was no reaction what so ever and the skin felt less irritated. It did not improve the condition of the skin there but there was no irritation either too the product.

Over all I was very impressed with the Barefoot SOS Soothing Face and Body Wash for Extremely Dry and Sensitive skin. I have been using it daily for just over a week and my skin has had no reactions where my sensitive areas of psoriasis or eczema are. I can also say I didn’t have an ‘outbreak’ too the product either. In fact the product really did for me what it said on the box; my skin was soft and rehydrated  and felt clean.

I would recommend Barefoot SOS Soothing Face and Body Wash too others. If you do have extremely sensitive skin as always ere on the side of caution and check the ingredients in the product to see if maybe it contains one you are allergic too. On my skin I was impressed how it felt after I’d used the product and as you need a minimal amount it would last you ages! At £16.00 200ml it is more expensive than other Body washes but I have used this product now at least 14 times (Morning and night) and I’m not even a third of the way in yet!

Have you tried any of the Barefoot Range? Would you like to enter my giveaway?

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
