Review: Ahava Dead Sea Water Mineral Shower Gel

Ahava isn’t a new brand for me, I have review in the past the Ahava Dermud Intensive Foot Cream and the Ahava Mineral Body Lotion (As part of a Glossy Box). I was so taken by the Foot Cream I now use it on clients and myself when doing pedicures – its so moisturising! When I was asked if I would like to try their Dea Sea Water Mineral Shower Gel I was more than happy too.

A little information about the Shower Gel…

Shower your skin in the natural goodness of Dead Sea minerals by using Ahava’s New Mineral Shower Gel to clean and refresh your skin.  This soft and gentle shower product, the latest addition to Ahava’s My Skin Reborn range, has the delightful aromatic scent of pomegranate and cherry blossoms, to envelop the senses and calm the body, and is infused with the skin-beneficial properties of Dead Sea minerals, as well as Ahava’s special combination of herbal moisturising ingredients, which is enriched with Aloe Vera Extract.

As with all Ahava My Skin Reborn products, new Mineral Shower Gel draws on Ahava’s unique, perfectly-balanced concentration of Dead Sea minerals, Osmoter™, to effectively nourish, hydrate and recharge the skin and provide you with that wonderful sensation of ‘my skin reborn’.  The perfect balance between scientific research and natural wonder, efficacy and pleasure, Ahava’s Mineral Shower Gel is approved for use on sensitive skin and also benefits from being free of parabens, SLS/SLES, petroleum, harsh synthetic ingredients and GMOs and is allergy tested.

The packaging of the shower gel is a sturdy flip top lid tube. Its really well made and the lid is quite secure so when left in the shower you don’t get that annoying amount of water sitting in the lid – I hate that!

I found the shower gel its self quite rich; its not exceptionally thick and yet a small amount went a long way with lots of bubble too! It glided over my skin smoothly and left my skin feeling soft and clean. I also noticed my skin had the same gorgeous pomegranate and cherry scent as the shower gel which I thought was great – as it smells heavenly. Once my skin was dry I also felt like I’d moisturised even though I hadn’t. The aloe vera in the shower gel really worked on my skin leaving it feeling amazing.

From a sensitive skin point of view; I didn’t have any reaction to the Ahave Dead Sea Mineral Shower Gel. Even on my areas of eczema I found they weren’t irritated at all. At present my eczema is quite ‘solid’ and not as sore, I can’t comment on how it would be if it was inflamed/cracked.

The Ahava Dead Sea Mineral Shower Gel is 200ml (6.8 fl.oz) and even after using it a few weeks I still have half a tube left, so it is really does last well. I usually use mine on a bath scrunchie or mitt which I find does make shower gels last longer too. At present you can purchase the Dead Sea Mineral Shower Gel in 2 sizes; 200ml tube will close £13.00 and the 500ml pump action bottle is £25.00.

Ahava products can be purchased online through Ahava, leading department stores, salons, pharmacies and other fine stores nationwide

Have you tried any of the Ahava range yet?

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx

Hi, stumble across your blog as I was looking for more info about Dead sea products.  I just begin to use a few products from AHAVA, I already love the smell in every one of them! The ”Mineral Foot cream” I’m using is just fantastic, also the day moisturizer is so easily absorbed!
