Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

Every now and then many of us suffer with dry or damaged hair, today’s review is on the holy grail Macadamia Deep Repair Masque and my thoughts and findings from using it.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

Here is some information on the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque…

This Deep Repair Masque works to replenish lost moisture in dry, damaged hair. The formulation of Macadamia Oil and Argan Oil are combined with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extract, which work together to replenish your hair of any lost nutrients and restore your hair with natural goodness. Your hair will be left intensely nourished with increased bounce and shine. Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque will leave you with long-lasting, conditioned hair.

Deep Repair Masque is formulated with Macadamia nut oil, which is a highly absorbent, lightweight oil. Macadamia oil is high in Omega 7, which is your body’s natural moisturiser, ensuring that a higher level of moisturisation is achieved from the product.

Now I had read in the past a lot of reviews on the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque. Most were really good and yet I’d still not tried the product out. I have the leave in conditioning spray which I really liked (And I’ve never reviewed it, maybe I should right that one up hey?) from the same brand and decided recently to bite the bullet and order some. Now I believe this comes in different sizes, I chose the 100ml which is a tube and I felt would be big enough for me to decide if I liked it and if it worked on my hair before taking the plunge and buying a larger size.

Obviously when using this I do not condition my hair after shampooing it. So, I shampoo and towel dry my hair to remove excess moisture. I then work the Deep Repair Masque through my mid lengths and ends and comb through to distribute. It states that no heat is necessary, so I do not cover my head at all with a cap or anything. I literally clip my hair out of the way and relax etc for about 7 minutes (I have been known to leave this on 10 minutes but I really don’t think the extra 3 minutes do a lot) and then rinse well in tepid water (I don’t rinse with hot water as this tends to open up the cuticles, where as cool water makes them all lay nice and flat).

On my own hair it feels like silk after, literally so soft its like baby hair! On my extensions (Which are never as soft as my own hair), they feel soft and manageable. I can easily comb through them without applying any detanglers and they are a lot easier to deal with. Now, I do not do this every wash, it recommends twice a week for best results but as I generally wash my hair twice a week I find every other wash is more than adequate, in fact I sometimes go 2 washes in between treatments. I also notice my hair appears healthier and it feels it too. I do have less breakage these days as I no longer bleach (I didn’t have that much before), it appears to be growing faster and just generally feels better too.

I do think the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque has contributed to my hairs condition without a doubt as its been better since I’ve been using it. Even though my hair isn’t exceptionally dry or in bad condition, I still think an intensive masque like this occasionally can really benefit your hair. One thing I will say though about one of its claims, it does state it can cut drying time by 40-50%, well I don’t think this is the case at all. Both with my own hair and extensions (Which are 100% remy hair tape in extensions) I have not noticed that my hair is any faster to dry, in fact I would say it takes exactly the same amount of time as it did before using this product.

Over all though, I love the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque and will definitely be repurchasing when it runs out. It smells really good, kinda clean and fresh, leaves my hair glossy and soft and has helped improve the condition of my hair and get it healthier. It isn’t a cheap product, but is a good investment and one I am glad I made. If you have exceptionally dry, damaged or bleach hair, I would recommend giving it a go as it may help you.

The Macadamia Deep Repair Masque costs £10.20 for 100ml of product and is available from Look Fantastic.
