Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask Starter Kit

When it comes to treatments and pampering time I always reach for something in my cupboard by Liz Earle. I have quite a collection of products but am always willing too try something new. My review today is on the Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask and I have to say… I think we’ve found my favourite!

The packaging for the Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask is both practical and refreshing on the eye. I love the little ‘bags’ the products come in with the starter kits as it makes keeping them together easier (I have a tendency to lose the muslins!). Inside the zip type bag we have a muslin cloth (You can never have enough of these!) and the 50ml Brightening Treatment Mask. This has a pump action top which dispenses a good amount of product with each pump.

When I relax and pamper my skin with a treatment its not just about what the mask does to my skin (Although that does play a massive part I’ll admit!)its also how the mask makes me feel; the fragrance is very important too my senses. If you are trying to relax me giving me a swift burst of citrus doesn’t do that (I associate citrus with stimulating not relaxing). My first major impression of the Brightening Treatment Mask was the fragrance; it really is amazing. I’m finding it hard to liken it to anything as its nothing like I have experienced before. The combination of witch hazel and aloe vera is both heady and stimulating without being too much.  Its refreshing but also relaxing.

The Brightening Treatment Mask is applied to clean dry skin; all you do is put a couple of pumps onto your skin and work it over your face and neck. Don’t worry if there are ‘white’ patches and you look a little uneven. The cream will blend in better some places than others I’ve found – I feel this is down too some places on my skin are drier and absorb cream more rapidly than others. Enjoy the fragrance while you wait anything from 30 seconds to 2 minutes (Ok I’ll admit I enjoy the scent a little too much and have been known to leave mine 5 minutes). Then rinse the muslin cloth in hand hot water and wipe the treatment mask from your face.

Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask is really thick in consistency

Even blended into the skin there is still a lot of product visible

My skin afterwards feels soft and refreshed – dare I say really clean? I don’t want you think I’m dirty, but my skin felt like I had given it a thorough clean. It looks brighter; I don’t have that dull, palid look that tired skin can get. I also felt I looked more radiant.

I didn’t have any reaction too this product what so ever, which is surprising as Liz Earle state it is not suitable for sensitive skin! I will say that after the first use and while it was on my skin I noticed a light tingling sensation. I read up on the packaging that this can happen and is perfectly normal. It didn’t last long and certainly was not unpleasant.

I really think this is my favourite Liz Earle product, dare I say more so than Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser? I love that its quick and easy and the results were instant on my skin. I also love the scent which is just amazing in my books!
