Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara

Being the complete mascara junkie that I am, when I saw they had the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara on offer at Chemist Direct recently I had to buy one. Firstly as I’d always wanted to try it and secondly because Chemist Direct had it at such a reasonable price! Here are my thoughts on the mascara and whether I think its worth the hype.

So recently I bought a few bits from Chemist Direct and have to say I was super impressed, not just with the brands they sell but also the pricing. Plus I also got free delivery and it came after 2 days! When I shop on a site I admit if its about makeup my first stop is always mascara. I can’t help myself! I’d always heard great things about Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara but in honesty didn’t like the price tag that went with it. Chemist Direct had it at the most ridiculous price of £11.50, so I had to order one and give it a go finally!

Although the packaging is lovely and it really is, it was all about what was inside that got me all excited. I’ve used a variety of shaped wands in my time both bristle and plastic and had all sorts of effects on my lashes, but I do think this wand is the first I’ve ever used in a shape like this. It almost reminded me of a Christmas tree with its unusual triangular dome like shape. The bristles are fairly close together on the wand so you instantly know this is going to create a lot of volume. I also could tell with the narrow tip you would be able to push the lashes out in the corners giving you that more ‘wide eyed’ look which I tend to go for.

As many of you will know who follow my blog, I do suffer with sensitive eyes and skin and mascara fragrances can really upset me at times, however I didn’t have any issues with this mildly scented one. It was quite subtle and did not make my eyes water at all. The proof is always in application though and from the get go I fell in love. I admit it was odd working with the strange shaped wand at first, but wasn’t ‘messy’ or anything like that. It was more about manipulating your lashes.

Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara can hold a curl (Not that I curl my lashes) and really adds length and volume in my opinion. The pictures above show my lashes from no mascara to up to 2 coats and you can really see the difference. I also loved that my lashes looked exactly like this a good 8 hours later and I had no panda eyes or flaking. I did notice a little transfer from my bottom lashes late on in the day but blame this on a cream I was using for my eczema at the time as it has not happened since.

Over all I really love the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara, its super black and really did make my eyes look wider and my lashes long and luscious. I’m so glad I found it at such a reasonable price on Chemist Direct as I probably wouldn’t have tried it otherwise (I learnt my lesson in the past paying out a lot on mascaras and being disappointed). I thoroughly recommend Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara if you like a lot of volume and some length too and also recommend checking out Chemist Direct for a bargain or few, I’m already making a shopping list of things I want to get next from them!

The Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara cost £11.50 for a full sized product from Chemist Direct.

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
