Today’s review is on the John Frieda Beach Blonde range. A range I first used well over a year ago and one I still love now. If you want products that help put texture, cleanse, condition and smell amazing in your hair, then keep reading.

I love John Frieda products, I find them to be good quality, affordable, plus easily available in Boot, Superdrug and even supermarkets. I’ve been using John Frieda products for years now, but no range stood out as much as the Beach Blonde for me.

In the Beach Blonde range there are 4 products. Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on 3 of them. I have never used the Kelp Help Conditioning Masque. I will purchase the masque soon and do a review though.

  • Cleanse your hair of daily dirt and product build-up with this purifying shampoo which leaves hair feeling silky soft and lightly textured, for an effortlessly tousled beach style.
  • Infused with peppermint and notes of citrus for a fresh fragrance that evokes nostalgic memories of summer vacations at the beach, while leaving an invigorating and refreshing sensation.
  • Suitable for all hair types and shades, including colour-treated hair.*source*

I love a gentle cleansing shampoo and the Beach Blonde Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo is just that. The shampoo has a unique mint/herb fragrance which feels cool on the scalp and refreshing. It removes all product build up on me and also gives my hair texture without drying it out. I also love how this shampoos fragrance lingers on my hair. In the Summer I use this shampoo a lot and now my hairs short have found my hair loves it even more! I can’t recommend this shampoo enough and my bleached hair loves it.

  • Prep your hair for an effortlessly tousled beach style while softening, for a silky-smooth finish.
  • Expertly formulated with Kukui Nut Oil, which is rich in Omega 3, this lightweight conditioner gently detangles and nourishes dry and damaged hair without leaving it feeling weighed down or limp.
  • Infused with peppermint and notes of citrus for a fresh fragrance that evokes nostalgic memories of summer vacations at the beach, while leaving an invigorating and refreshing sensation.
  • Suitable for all hair types and shades, including colour-treated hair.*source*

Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner is a great follow up to the shampoo. Again it has that unique fragrance that the shampoo has. Its a fairly runny conditioner with a water like feel. The conditioner is light on the hair and after rinsing I don’t find my hair feels weighed down. In fact I feel like my hair is conditioned but also has texture there. After using this conditioner I also find my hair is extremely glossy and shiny even without further products. I would especially recommend this conditioner to those with fine hair. For those who have very dry bleached hair, I would recommend trying the masque as this might not be enough for you.

  • Create beach-tousled waves for an effortless, matte-textured style, any time of the year.
  • Innovatively formulated with sea salt, this formula ensures soft, natural-looking textured waves. Provides subtle volume and fullness.
  • Infused with a delicate, ocean-fresh coconut fragrance that evokes nostalgic memories of summer vacations at the beach.
  • FOR STYLING LONGER HAIR: After misting into towel-dried hair, twist sections to create ‘ropes’ of hair, then run your fingers through to tousle and create loose, irregular waves.
  • FOR STYLING SHORTER HAIR: Gently massage the product into towel-dried hair using your fingertips, to create a textured, tousled style.
  • Allow your hair to dry naturally, blow-dry or diffuse, then finish with Sheer Blonde Crystal Hold Shape and Shimmer Hairspray for a long-lasting style.
  • This weightless styling mist can also be applied to dry hair to instantly refresh your tousled style.
  • Suitable for all hair types and shades, including colour-treated hair.*source*

Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray in the Beach Blonde range is without a doubt my most favourite ‘can’t be without it’ product. I use the sea salt spray all year round and always have at least 2 of them. Firstly the spray has a tropical coconut fragrance which is just holidays in a bottle. It really does smell amazing. Add to that the sea salt spray gives great texture to my hair, doesn’t make it feel dirty and also can be used on wet and dry hair – its really a winner. I was using this product when my hair was long with extensions, short in a bob and continue to use it with my pixie cut. If you take nothing else from this review, know the sea salt spray is amazing.

To conclude I hope I’ve justified why the Beach Blonde range is great. I’ve always had coloured hair using it, but it has also worked on my hair not matter what the condition. These products are good value for money, last and are also available in smaller travel sizes so great for holidays!

You can purchase the John Frieda Beach Blonde range from Boots, Superdrug and some super markets.
