Before anyone moans at me (Namely the other half) I’ve been shopping, but I didn’t spend much in fact I only spent £8! I had points on my Boots Advantage card and my Superdrug Beauty card, so I got lots of goodies as a treat and paid practically nothing.

My Little Goodies Haul

My day wasn’t all roses though, I had my brows booked in for an appointment and the beauty therapist didn’t even bother turning up. The shop was so embarrassed about it but it wasn’t their fault and I told them as much. She knew I was coming in too. So as I explained to the shop, I won’t be coming back to use that therapist again. I did however still get my brows done and went into Superdrug to see the lovely team at the Blossoms Beauty Brow Bar and get them to do them again. They do a really good job and I’m always pleased – I don’t think you can knock £7 either for a threading brows and reshape!

I couldn’t not look for the Sleek Nude collection on my visit at Superdrug, as usual they had no palettes so I picked up the Pout Polish in Bare Minimum and Blush in Suede. The makeup lady was there and I asked when more would be in stock again, she literally had just had a delivery and opened all the stock there and then to see if there was one in there – luckily there was so I managed to get the Au Naturel palette too! I’m not going to swatch these now as I’ll do a separate review for them but trust me when I say it will probably be done for tomorrow!! The Pout Polish was £4.29, the Blush was £4.29 and the Au Naturel palette was £6.99.

I needed to pick up a new Nice’n Easy semi permanent on Medium Ash blonde again for my extensions as they needed doing so grabbed one – have to say I love how this colorant works. It lasts really well and leaves your hair so soft! I’ve had trouble with semi’s leaving my hair a bit naff and dry but this one is really good! It was £3.65.

I also saw a new Sure deodorant I’d not tried before. No idea if they had changed the packaging but as it was on offer I grabbed one of these too. It was £2.85. You could get 2 for £3.99 I believe.

I totally swear by Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream, this is my third tube and one I don’t have any outbreaks with or reactions. I have combination skin but I don’t find its too oily for me at all. It leaves my skin really soft and I use it under all my foundations and find its absorbed nicely by the skin. I got this in Boots and it cost £7.65.

Next stop was Boots (Sorry about the Oilatum but took it with the Superdrug purchases by accident and camera needs charging). I’ve had 2 No 7 vouchers sitting in my purse for a while and didn’t really know what to use them on. Not that I needed another one but I bought a new No 7 Eyeshadow Blend and Contour brush, namely as they are really good and compare nicely too my Sigma E35. They are usually £7.65 but with the voucher it means you are getting a really decent blending brush for £2.65!

I am a sucker for mascara and always looking for a new one just because its mascara and I’m an addict. Saw Maybelline The Colossal Cat Eyes in Glam Black while browsing nail varnish and listening to the store clerk talk to a customer about it – so that went in the basket too. It cost £5.99.

My RED eyelash curlers are ok, not broken and still work fine but they are the wrong shape for my eyes and keep nipping. I have been on the look out for a pair that were slightly less rounded and saw these Models Own Eyelash curlers. The colour of them stood out the most at first but on inspection they looked less rounded than my pair. So I bought these too, hoping they are better and more comfortable. They cost £6 which I thought was a good price.

I did in the end grab a nail varnish as I fell in love with the colour. I’d not used a Maybelline nail varnish in years and saw this Forever Strong nail polish in Taupe Couture. Which I thought looked gorgeous, a nude deep taupe brown. It cost £4.09.

I also treated myself (As I have picked it up and put it down a few times over the months) to Revlon’s Photo Ready Foundation. I didn’t really need it but was looking for a slightly heavier coverage and I’ve heard this one is quite good. I bought it in Cool Beige as I found the others were a little too ‘Warm’ for me. I have a feeling I’m going to have to tone it down a little as it will probably be a bit dark, still it blended really well in the shop! It was meant to be £12.99 but at the tills was £9.99!

So that was my shopping trip. A few new goodies to try over the next week. So expect some reviews, FOTD, NOTD and whatever else I come up with!

Have you bought any new treats recently?

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
