It’s never good when you wake up in the morning and wonder what other devastation has happened since you closed your eyes the night before. I actually dreaded looking at Twitter this morning – would there be more riots? Damage? Lives ruined?

With all this in mind I decided to try and brighten my mood and the day with a bright pretty look using Avon Colour Trends Flirty Eyes Quad in Bright Eyes. It may not make an impact on the riots throughout the country but maybe it will add some colour to the dark world at present.

I have already reviewed the other colour option Cocoa Eyes from the Avon Colour Trends Flirty Eyes Quads so will not be writing an review for Bright Eyes. Instead it’s a look and some swatches so you can see just how pretty these cream eyeshadows are. If you would like to see the review please click here…

Review Avon Colour Trends Flirty Eyes in Cocoa Eyes and EOTD

The Bright Eyes palette is what tempted me into buying these 2 quads. It was so pretty and I loved the dark blue shade that was in there, I just knew it would flatter my blue eyes and had to buy it – being so cheap at £3 I bought both quads.

The bad thing about this quad which I think you can see from the swatches is how similar the white pearl colour and pink shimmery colour are. The white is great for a highlighter and is very pretty, I just wish the pink shimmery colour was a little darker and pigmented. Its so close to the white than on application you can’t really tell the difference. However the purple and blue are both really beautiful.

Here’s what I used to create the look today;

Bronze Ambition Glow ‘n’ Go, Bourjois Healthy Mix (Dark Beige), Barry M Translucent Powder, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Medium, W7 Light Diffusing Concealer, ELF Blusher in Pink Passion, ELF Brow Kit in Light, L’Oreal Lash Architect 4D in Black, Avon Colour Trends Flirty Eyes in Pretty Eyes, MAC Snob Lipstick, Bourjois Effet 3D Brun Poetic, Sleek Contour Kit in Light.

Please excuse my terrible brows at present! I’m growing them out to have them reshaped and they look unsightly! It looks really subtle on camera but its much darker in real life, I’ve tried altering the lighting settings on the SLR but it still doesn’t show just how pigmented it is.

This image was taken with my phone as it seems to have captured the colours a little better. As you can see they are actually darker than the SLR is picking up.

Lastly here is the full look;

Quite pretty, understated on camera (Much brighter in real life!!) and something I’d happily wear. I love pink,purples and blues as they really bring out the blue of my eyes.

Have you tried the Flirty Eye quads yet?

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
